Brilliant, brilliant goal. Had everything. Pace, touch, control and finish.

Very reminiscent of a young George Weah.

From Beeb's Quotes of the Week:

"He's like Dash from that film The Incredibles."

Plymouth boss Ian Holloway after Scott Sinclair's dazzling solo goal against Barnet.

Having watched the Sinclair goal against Barnet again it does raise a concern about the fact he looks entirely one footed. OK it seems a bit critical given that he scored the goal but normally in a run like that down the left flank you would not expect a player to use nothing but his right foot the entire time.

Is this particular goal misleading? Is he capable with his left foot as well?

Can anyone who has watched him for the reserves (or Dave the Green) put me straight on this.

If he were to be that reliant on just his right foot then that would seriously hamper his chances of making the grade at the hghest level.

Doesn't seem to have hampered Robben.

Paul Merson was the most one footed player in the history of the game.

And give or take a few shandys he did ok!

I acknowledge that there are exceptions (although I would add that historically being one footed on the left hand side was less of an issue than being one footed on the right hand side due to the relative shortage of quality left footed players) however I wouldn't say that exceptions are a reason not to have the concern.

I don't mean he is destined to be a failure or anything as dramatic as that. Just raising a concern that as we are currently a club that appears to be looking to fill its squad with the very highest level of players (or at least close to the highest level) then this could be a flaw to Sinclair's game that prevents him rising to the level that would see him break through with us.

I think Babayaro was/is the most one-footed player I can think of. The regular sight of him careering down the left wing, only to get blocked and having to turn back and keep turning round in circles to get the ball on his left foot was comical. Well, it's comical now, not so funny at the time

gallas was pretty much one footed too. Always ran a nice over lap, had great pace, and then had to cut back to put the corss in, thus losing all the ground he had made up...it was frustrating to see such a great player so blatantly out of position. And credit to Gallas as a player that he still performed great out there

He does seem to prefer his right foot when he plays but can use his left as well and if you don't think he would be able to make the grade then you are mistaken my friend

Based on the goal last night he can clearly head a ball as well.

In fact based on the, admittedly limited, highlights his all round contribution to the match seemed impressive.

Were you at the match Dave? If so, any comments?

Yes, in fact I believe Ruud Kaiser and Brendan Rogers were amazed at his shooting ability in both feet.
