So here we are at seasons end; four games to go, four wins required to make club history. Four games, or less, to go to become stress free, less worried, a normal person again, a person the wife can relate to for a few months at least until August. This year has been an emotional roller coaster, at ease one week sitting easily on top of the table, the next anxious, worried the next as we drop supposedly an easy three points against lesser opposition; news of an injury that could wreck our season, a concern of losing players to the Cup of African Nations. How would we cope? Great in the end as it turned out. Worry, elation, tears, joy, annoyance, severe anger; oh the price we pay as fans of this team this season. I think I have added a few years to my age over the last 30 odd weeks as probably we all have. For nearly 40 years as a Blues fan I ask has it been worth it? Yes definitely…..wouldn’t have missed it. I am as passionate now as I was then….drives the missus nuts. I hope that the emotional roller coaster continues for another 30 years……but with less stress…. :shok:

 
Missus? Oh, you mean the strange lady, familiar somehow, that I see during my visits from the telly to the loo?

The roller coaster ride hasn't ended yet. I will say that it was all worth it if we win the league.

Mines Portuguese Canadian.....doesn't have emotions...just changes teams to Brazil when the pork chops loose, changes to Brazil when the Canadians lose....even in ice hockey!!!!

Well im a f***img nervous case here and to be honest , id rather sleep through the next 3 weeks rather than endure the run in . Call me a coward if you want i dont give a f**k, but im going through a f***ing difficult period as a Chelsea fan and i dont like the feeling . Rollercoaster ride fun all you want mate and i appreciate your message but its mid Apri, and i dont give a rats arse about the next 30 years, im struggling with the next 13 days.

 
I've been in the fetal position since the United game.....it's uncomfortable living, but I just can't seem to get out of this little ball....

If however, we win the double, I will be fairly ecstatic.

 
At least we have the chance of winning the double. Never mind when we won 2004-2006, I remember the 90's when we were a midtable team and how excited I felt winning the FA cup in '97. Also remember losing to norwegian team Viking in the UEFA cup.. Don't get me wrong, as CFCCAN say, this is an emotional rollercoaster and worst case scenario we may end up empty handed and just thinking about the next 4 games makes me dizzy and sends my heartrate in the roof.

And this doesn't mean I won't be disapointed if we don't win the league nor does this mean I won't bang my head against the wall in agony and lose all hope for the future (Oh, the drama :D ).

But I would rather be in this position where we actually have a chance to win the double, than the situation we had 10 years ago trying to break into the top 5. It's important to remember this.

 
From one weekend to the next it is as you say a rollercoaster ride. Its fantastic to have so much to play for at this stage of the season and i hope mine and the players nerves hold out.

It could be the greatest season in our history but typical Chelsea they wont make it easy for us and yes is will hopefully make the winning all the more sweeter rather than it would if we'd strolled it.

But back on that rollercoaster again and it will be all the more painfull to go so close and miss out.

AAARRGGHHHHH, Come on Chelsea.

I can see why people say it was boring under Mourinho. Why have the league sewn up with 3 or 4 games to go when you could be biting your fingernails down to the knuckle, turning grey, pulling your hair out, feeling physically sick, watching the game through your head in your hands and feeling like someone has grabbed your insides, twisted them and squeezed them like a spongue.

This is far more entertaining...............

the word rollercoaster has been used in this thread several times, people who like rollercoasters, and there are many, are all ways disapointed when the ride is over and will all most immeadiatley start thinking/planning what rollercoater to try next.

The point I'm making, or trying to make, is that this is the sort of season that keeps everyone, media, players and fans alike on thier toes and interested until the final kick of the season.

Myself, i would prefer we had this sewn up weeks ago, I'm not overly keen on roller coasters I'd much rather shoot fish in a barrell.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to keel over before the FA Cup Final.

If we do win the double I can't imagine how ecstatic I'll be. If we don't, then a sad, sad summer awaits...

I beleive thats the main attraction at Stanley Park. What the picture doesnt show is that the wheels have come off, which apparently is a very common occurance.

I'm knackered after every match, then immediately start worrying about the next one. Being a Chelsea supporter takes it out on you, doesn't it? Can the season just end NOW please??

SPOT ON, can relate to all of that fella, and over 40 years a blues fan ,, great post sums it up to a tee
