Yes, good shout. And he was a triumph at PSG. Anything ex-Tottenham I'm all on board with. I don't give a flying f**k about club history and fan culture. A Pochettino and Benitez partnership is probably what we should aim for.
You wouldn't take Harry Kane here?

On what flipping planet is Eddie Howe coming here 🤣 season starts for Potter on Thursday. Let's see how he does til end of March where every game is winnable - even with this team of wet blankets.

Hopefully we've managed to build some confidence heading into the summer and can ship out and ship in what's necessary.

For the record, I think Tuchel is better than any manager available. I'm not just saying bring him back because he shouldn't have been sacked in the first place. There's very very few managers that are objectively better than him, Klopp is the only one that comes to mind. Boehly should swallow his pride.

Incidentally Potter's first 18 games have a better record than Tuchels last 18.

Tuchel won't come here. So let it rest.

Now that's got a different angle to it completely.

1. Kane is proven top quality.

2. We have no centre-forwards at all.

3. It would seriously, seriously f**k up Tottenham, and their fans would go into meltdown.

So, yes, 100% I would. It be even sweeter if we could give them Jorginho as part of the deal.

But Levy would not sell us the sh*t off his shoe, so that wouldn't happen either.

Is that actually true? Potter has 15 points from 11 league games. Tuchel had 10 from his first 6 this season.

Bisright please tell me you spotted the irony in my post?

I'm still 100% behind GP and won't change until I have seen what he does when he has our key players back from injury and has had a chance to integrate them with some of the new signings.

Love how all the Potter fans are blaming this on Tuchel I wasn't his biggest fan but the excuses for this guy are now just getting hilarious from trusting the process to our club is changing so we need a new type of manager We need a winning manager who commands respect who is tactically astute. A board who know the game from players to business acumen and understand what we have achieved as a club can not be tossed away on the egos and wim of the new board
Some seem to have convinced themselves that we have changed in the sense that we are now that team before Roman, before Ranieri, even before Vialli and Gullit. A team that will once again bounce around from 10th to 14th like we were in the early 90's. The thing is, they are wrong. If we end up in that position again, it won't be because that is the standards the club has set itself, it will be because we are massively failing and underachieving. The new owners are going all in, much more than even Abramovich did before he was forced to sell. They are going about it all the wrong way in my opinion, but the standards are as high as ever. They will want Premier League and Champions League titles in the future. You don't spend the money they have spent without demanding success in the long term.

What if he's lost the dressing room before that? Would you still back him?
Simply wondering.

Mount for example, have you ever seen him this lethargic for us? Who knows what's going on but he's got some quality players available to him at the moment as well and there is just nothing anywhere. I don't even see effort, I use Mount as the current example as he always gave 110% whenever he was on the field for our former manager but there are obviously others as well.

If he loses the dressing room it won't matter what I think will it? Actually I think managers rarely lose an entire dressing room. They lose certain players within those groups and some of those players hold more power and sway than others. Particularly, it has to be said, at our club. Hence, managers are usually going to be more wary of upsetting them rather than others.

If you believe the media reports at the time, TTs press conference after the Arsenal pre-season debacle, and some of the player's comments post Tuchel's exit, it seems obvious all was not sweetness and harmony in the camp. That was certainly reflected in the football and the results at the end.

I've seen mount this lethargic for us. He was this bad under tuchels last few months!

He's always had huge patches of mediocrity for us, people just didn't notice. He turns 24 in two days, he shouldn't be treated as some academy prospect anymore, if he doesn't deliver then he should be shown the door. He hasn't improved at all over the past 2/3 years.

I’ve simply lost all patience with him. Unlike Havertz, I want him to stay and accept his limited role.

Where did Liverpool finish their first season under Klopp ?

f**k the " dressing room " I don't care if they don't like the manager , as soon as you put the Chelsea shirt on you give everything for our club and for our fans.

get out of our club, the obvious lack of effort and determination was a disgrace especially after the passing of a Chelsea legend who played with desire and a love for the club and fans .

9th I think, though the football was a pretty clear upgrade on Rodgers. He won 2 Bundesligas with Dortmund though (no team other than Bayern has won it since), took Dortmund to the Champions League final, won Liverpool their first Prem in 30+ years, along with coming 2nd with 92 and 97 points (which wins the title 99% of the time). Liverpool have had the lowest net spend of the top 6 during his time there. On top of that, he won the Champions League with Liverpool along with reaching the finals twice. Not to mention the domestic cups he has won. He's the elite of the elite when it comes to managers in my opinion, he hasn't had an unlimited chequebook like Guardiola.

Yeah he's good manager no doubt . . I want us to be successful too., But the season they finished 9th after coming so close with Rogers had everyone mocking the appointment.

doesn't mean Potter will be the same I know, sack Potter after bring in staff from Brighton I don't think will happen..

I'm not happy but I'm a Chelsea supporter , I want us to be top dogs again, .... if we ain't ?
