Even the benches ran across the pitch to get at the Liverpool fans. That was after getting attacked from across the railway lines and from the regular North Standers. Years of frustration of cowardly attacks in Liverpool, it was payback time.was this not the liverpool game where the scouse fans got smashed all over both inside and mainly outside SB
no sorry your wrong unless the cranes behind the shed where in full voice lol.graham, all 4 sides were open but a temporary stand at the shed end, but correct me if i am wrong
The Shed End had hoardings behind the goal.graham, all 4 sides were open but a temporary stand at the shed end, but correct me if i am wrong
I was a regular North Stander at that time (before I graduated to Gate 13), and a great day was had by all, battered f*ck out of 'em!Even the benches ran across the pitch to get at the Liverpool fans. The only mob to ever go in there as far as I can remember. That was a lively day, they were everywhere, probably the most intimidating away support ever to come to Chelsea. We did OK though.the best battle in gate 13 was against west ham 83 84 season, i also remember leeds in 82 where chelsea had a massive mob
I don't remember any aggo at that, funny isn't it. My mate got a kicking in the passage down to Parsons Green by the Eelbrook afterwards though.the best one against them was a night game in 79
Not mentioned in their hoolie books then!they got run, and even a face at Chelsea said to me "i am proud to be Chelsea"
I quite agree. It all depends where you were at the time. It's funny how we could pull off a victory like that and then go to a place like Shrewsbury (or Cambridge/Luton), turn the joint over but not completely take their side/end while a season before send the Holte End packing (and what a sight that was from the other end).not at all , there are games like that where people forget and if you read in the hoolie books that Chelsea were feared in london in the early70s they were not, the shed was a myth
True, I gave up on the Shed round about 1973/74, went in the North Stand after that - until the early 80's, then it was Gate 13.not at all , there are games like that where people forget and if you read in the hoolie books that Chelsea were feared in london in the early70s they were not, the shed was a myth
I remember feeling well annoyed and even embarrassed when I went in the Shed because the old bill sergeant saw me coming and stopped me from getting in to the North Stand. Funny thing, at one time it was easier to get in to the North Stand by sneaking in through the flats than by paying at the turnstiles.True, I gave up on the Shed round about 1973/74, went in the North Stand after that - until the early 80's, then it was Gate 13.
