Police assess claim John Terry racially abused Anton Ferdinand

Allegations that Chelsea's John Terry racially abused QPR defender Anton Ferdinand are being looked at by police after a public complaint.

The Chelsea captain has categorically denied making a racist slur during Sunday's game at Loftus Road.

A police spokesman said: "We can confirm that police have been notified of an incident on Sunday, 23 October involving alleged racial abuse.

"This is currently being assessed by officers from Hammersmith and Fulham."

Videos circulated on the internet in the aftermath of the game, with some claiming the footage shows Terry, 30, insulting the QPR player using racist language.

BBC Sport understands QPR are to discuss the matter further with Ferdinand.

That fat buffoon Steve Curry (Man utd fan) on SSN this morning was also sticking the boot into Terry, he mentioned the Ledley King incident as well, and was banging on about JT's fitness to be England Captain...all the usual b*llocks...

The Sky news bloke (who happens to be black) had to remind Curry that there is no proof at all in any of the allegations...

 
Would the police investigation be off the back of the youtube clip?? If so wold that even be legal?

 
Apparantly a member of the public has come forward and made a complaint....

I was only kidding but in the same article they manage to [almost certainly falsely] accuse JT of racism and also turn their noses up at the idea that Evra or Ferdinand should be offended by such racism-lite.

Haha, you can't make this sh*t up...

So, Mr Evra and Mr Ferdinand, I know you feel insulted. But perhaps in this case you could just put up with it and get on with the game.

I just cannot believe this is considered news.

Terry and Ferdinand were walking and talking together after FT, that isn't how someone behaves after they've been "racially abused." The evidence is pseudo-lipreading and the video isn't even clear about who Terry is talking to (my immediate guess is that idiot ref) let alone what he actually said. No complains from Ferdinand either, I just wish he'd come out and say its all bullsh*t so its not Terry's word vs whatever the Media make up.

 
We know what Terry was saying he has told us, so lets not try to make up he was saying "blind" its now up to Ferdinand to come out and confirm JT's story!

Don't be fooled by the camera angle, Ashley was probably quite far from Terry when he was shouting, but what no-one can see is what is said when Ashley is blocking Terry!

I'm backing JT on this one due to the fact that Ferdinand hasn't made any statement yet, after the Evra incident he would have come straight out and said something!

 
QPR have done it to take away the attention of the ever so dodgy ref and being handed the game. QPR know that they didnt deserve to win and if they can take the attention away from that then of course thats what they will do. Bunch of low lives.

 
just watched the clip again, watch just before Cole blocks the view and you can see he says "never" which would back up his story!

 
And of course if JT is rested tomorrow, which will probably be the case as he's on 4 cards and if booked would miss the Arse game at the weekend, same applies to Frank, it'll prove his guilt.

The idiot's just been on Talksport spouting his usual anti Chelsea and anti John Terry stuff. To be honest, I find it hard to take him seriously, he just spouts sh*te and constantly contradicts himself

It's not political correctness gone mad. If JT DID call him a black c**t (which I strongly doubt) the papers would have every right to castigate him.

This is gutter journalism squeezing every last drop of venom out of a non story.

 
I just so hope (For the club & JT's sake) that this isn't true, and JT's words before what we can all plainly see he says are what he claims.

Lets hope Ferdinand defends him in that all important ''i never called you...'' phrase, because if not i fear JT is in real trouble, as there is very little doubt what was said after Ash passed in front.

Sunday goes from bad to worse. Grrrrrrrr
