Was very surprised when I read about it this morning.

A real loss because he was a very good actor. Wish he had got more big parts though.

 
That is a great loss as he was a truly fine actor - his performance in Brassed Off being one of my very favourites. Not just a fine actor but also a man of very decent values.

I heard about that this morning. Sad news. :( A little spooky considering I watched Last of the Mohicans the other days. I didn't realise he was in The Usual Suspects until now.

RIP - a truly great actor.

 
I just watched "The Town" a few weeks back and thought he looked very frail. I didn't know he had been fighting cancer.

Great actor.

Desperately sad news. The Last Of The Mohicans, In The Name Of The Father, The Usual Suspects, Brassed Off - so many great films. He was a brilliant actor. This is a great loss to the acting world.

Wow, didn't know this. Just read he's been living with cancer since 1990!

I wanted to rip his head off in Sharpe! Cracking actor who'll be sadly missed.
