What's new

Welcome Loic Remy

My money's on Remy injuring his carpal tunnel picking up the pen to sign the contract. He always gets injuries when he's needed the most. Incredible timing

When he was told he was needed by Leicester he apparently pulled up with an injury.

Just heard that Leicester are cooling their interest in Gayle and Musa signing isnt coming off so Remy has more chance of signing for them now Sky sports said

I wonder about Falcao too, he was supposed to go back to Monaco but couldn't because he got injured and because he couldn't go back and complete a medical we are stuck with him?

We've loaned out Bamford, Falcao is useless even when fit, so if Pato turns out to be another flop, Remy will still be our second choice striker, if not he will be 3rd choice over Falcao at least. It won't be too bad if he doesn't leave today.

Bit harsh to call Falcao useless when fit as he's hardly been able to play due to injuries.

Judge the player once he is fit and we give him some decent game time. I think he is in Guss's plans as long as he can get himself fit before the end of the season, whether that happens is another question.

He had a whole season at United which was enough to judge him on, he continued the same kind of performance when he played for us. He was also in Jose's plans and still fell behind Remy.

Not to mention again that we tried shipping him back to Monaco already.

It's off, you pulled the plug on the deal, would of been nice if you did it a bit earlier to give us a chance of getting somebody else in.

I thought we already accepted a bid of 11.5m... I'd be happy to gift wrap and deliver him to you. He'd be much better in a two striker system and I really don't want Arsenal to win the title...

agree w/ undertow - we hate the gooners (ok we like to laugh at the goonies) & besides most CFC fans want to see Don Claudio have some success - he was a Good CFC Gaffer & he is still loved by most CFC fans

We now have only 3 strikers as we let Kramaric go out on loan, fantastic work from Leicester City.

Geez I hope Vardy can keep fit or i think we can kiss goodbye to any potential top 4 finish.

I was hearing the deal was off because it was too windy for Remy to travel to Leicester by plane. Most hilariously and equally ludicrous thing i have heard regarding a transfer. I am sure he could have caught the train earlier today or drove there.

It's a bit harsh to expect a Premier league winner to slum it on a public train....not like the old days when they used to go on their bikes to the ground half hour before kick off, wearing an old raincoat and smoking a woodbine !LoL

I remember travelling back from Newcastle back in the day (late 60's) and John Hollins ran past me on the escalator when we got off the northern line tube at London Bridge to catch his train home to Bexley where I also resided at that time.

I guess lack of reinforcement or replacement killed off the deal. Personally, after his miserable little cameo against Arsenal, I'd let him go. I don't think he will get much game time for the rest of the season anyway. He always found a way to miss out on games when the managers finally wanted to pick him.
