Oh wow look at this goalkeeping and defending:
Amen Scott. Every Tottenham fan I have ever known would give up a testicle to win the Europa Conference trophy. Even the women.A lot of people seem to be really down on us being relegated to the Conference League, but I am fine with it. I value Europa League more but it's hardly the same as being dumped out of the Champions League after finishing 4th.
Europa League, Conference League......it's still Thursday night football.
I don't think it's much tougher opposition. You get those kinds of teams in the Europa League too. It's just the top end of the Europa League that is better than the Conference League. I don't see how our lot would learn more playing in the Europa League over the Conference League when our own domestic league is much tougher than either of them. Can't believe people are relishing us playing in the conference league just because we haven't won it. So should we enrol our team in the Saudi domestic league just because we haven't won that too ? I'm disappointed to have missed out on the Europa league because it would've been much tougher competition and given the players some taste of the challenges of the CL. The players would've learned a lot and benefitted playing some tough teams in the EL instead going up against likes of Lugano and Spartak Trnva in the conference league.
Maybe the group stage where there may be 1 or 2 weak teams but the knockouts of the EL would be a couple of notches above the conference league.I don't think it's much tougher opposition. Bang on. Younes has a habit of doing this and mugging himself off a bit. I also watch Yannick on Football Therapy for a slightly more balanced view. I still routinely argue with the telly when either of them are on.Totally agree with you. Either way is extra games for players that need them and, in theory, an easier trophy to win and they badly need to win things to learn what it means to win.
On a side note I enjoy watching the content George Benson, Younes, Miz and Mahtisse do, good round up of opinion and general media rumours. But boy oh boy those guys have all been saying "next season European league this, European league that, united have no chance etc" I mean how, how can you be a Chelsea fan and talk like that? You have to know it will bite you on the a$$ and will be hilarious watching their responses now.

I hear you Nick. Yes it's heartbreaking that we won't be in the Europa League. Glamour nights against some of the world's best teams like FC Quarabag and FC Spursy are what we dream off. But like Jose used to say, "chin up" fella. Next season for sure. Can't believe people are relishing us playing in the conference league just because we haven't won it. Woah! That would be a very tough draw. Would have to go with St.Mirren. Can't see us getting past Haverfordwest County over two legs.Very much looking forward to the Battle of Britain.
Chelsea vs St Mirren or Haverfordwest County.
Hey a European tournament with 0 chance of playing another PL side. Beautiful.I hear you Nick. Yes it's heartbreaking that we won't be in the Europa League. Next season will be double difficult since we'll be expecting be compete with top 4 with a new manager, likely some of our better players gone(Gallagher, Chalobah), maybe some more average signing which the SDs will expect to be shoehorned into the team and sprinkled with some European games(if we qualify for the group stage) in obscure locations.I hear you Nick.
