Due to problems in the dressing room he may leave At. Madrid. The board put a 50 mil price tag on his head, which in this day and age is a steal for a player with his qualities.
In the Belgian national side he plays like a LWB, his defending skills might not be top notch, but he sure can make a difference between teams that like to sit in deep and stay in the box with 10 players.
+ He's Belgian, and Belgians are the new Spaniards.

I've never been impressed with this guy whenever I've seen him play, not great at anything really. Hopefully we target better players then him, like Sanchez.

Why would Arsenal even consider selling Sanchez to us. And the wage we would have to pay him would be near Hazard money, what a great signal to the other squad members.

I did like what I saw while he played for Monaco. Not seen much of him for Atletico. 50m though...

Arsenal don't have much say anymore when his contract runs out in the summer, he can agree a deal with us now and join us then if he wants, or we pay 20mil-30mil and get him now.

I don't think there is any problem for the club to pay close to Hazard wages for Sanchez, thats if Hazard accepts his new deal at 250k-300k. We would have to pay alot more if we tried to buy someone with simillar qualities. There is already a wage structure in the club, where certain players have double or tripple the wages of others, if we want to attract quality players and keep the ones we have, then we need to pay our key players.

I think Conte wants to lower the age of the team. He wants to build a team for the future.  I think we should be very careful buying people over say 26 and I’d prefer 22-23 yr olds.

For me Sánchez is too old. Carrasco at 24 is much more the right age although obviously a very different player. That said I’d still rather Mahrez.

Would rather Mahrez. I was interested in him in the summer but has not kicked on at all. Still inconsistent and we can't afford inconsistence in this part of the season.

Who cares that much about age when they'll be out of a job soon for not winning anything. Sanchez gives you another 3/4 years of word class talent. Age is a concern when it comes to rotation options. The likes of Willian/Pedro/Cesc are not guaranteed starters so it's easier to swap them out for younger (and possibly homegrown) talent.

Hazard has always been so far ahead of anyone else at this club since he arrived. It would be great to see him paired with a similar talent, afterall, we might not have him for very much longer.

Don't get the hype with this guy good player nothing more certainly not a huge improvement on what we already have.

Assists figures might be a little off. He's a top, top class player. One of the few available. Personally, I'd take him over Bale for sure. He's at least a level above Willian and Pedro. 2-3 seasons of him with Hazard together will give teams nightmares.

Very unlikely it will happen, even if weren't for City as the club has moved away from that type of transfer.

Have the club ever went for that type of transfer? iirc the only time the club did something like that was Torres.

You could argue about Hazard but Hazard was still an unproven (PL unproven that is) youngster at that time who won Ligue Un in a period before cash injection into Monaco and PSG

Think you got the wrong thread mate

Initially when Abramovic took over.

Veron, Crespo, Makelele... Before that, age really didn't come into things...

Most recently it would be Torres, Fabregas... Maybe Costa(?)

Not talking about premiership experience exactly, just buying established players of a certain age.

And he's a Genk youngster!

Always good!

Oh, I see, then yeah. Fabregas and Costa would be the most recent in terms of experienced players coming in at their peak.

Thought you meant a PL proven top class player of which it'd be Fabregas but even then it was because Arsenal turned him down first.

Because he's overrated and hopefully not one of our main targets.
+1

Carrascko, Barkley, Draxler - I categorize them as WTF players. Just dont understand what they do and why they are so hype. Most of the time they try to take on 10 people of the opposition team, end up losing the ball and then give away a cheap foul in trying to get the ball back. Sure, they might produce a moment of magic every 10/15 games which keeps them relevant. But for overall team play, I feel that these 3 are just so bad.
