Bruma should be given his chance however there is one other option which no one has mentioned that we may need to consider if all else fails - Didier Drogba - started out as a centre back and even filled in there briefly earlier this season when Alex went off against Arsenal. Appreciate this isn't ideal but I'd be confident he'd win pretty much everything in the air. Don't want us to have to take this option though - this would purely be as a last resort.

 
Drogba can fill in CB too, but with 1 goal scored in our last 3 games we might need him up the other end.

This is Bruma's moment, if he doesn't start might as well ship him out in January as he's taking up a place in the squad for no reason.

 
Great opportunity for Bruma.

Difficult few games coming up.

A real threat to CFC all these injuries but it could act as a catlyst to gel the remaining players into a team.

Back four will need time to train together and gel. Thank heaven that Cech is on top form.

42 points is all we need to stay up this season I reckon.

I made the same suggestion a day or two back in the "Is Our Squad Depth Really Good Enough" thread, but I fully agree that this should be considered only as a last ditch resort. Bringing Sturridge back into the squad would certainly make it a possible emergency option.

 
Someone mentioned that Ivanovic is on four yellows already. One more and we're looking at starting Bruma + whoever in the following game.

Interesting times ahead.

Drogs clearing from the goal line, winning the ball once it's been cleared, passing it across field, winning that ball, flicking it on to himself, shoots and scores :D back after the restart to play in goal too.

It's simply got to be Bruma, a great chance for the lad. If he makes mistakes then so be it. A run in the side could be the making of him. (or breaking)

The only other option is to see what free agents are available. Any aging experienced centre backs looking for a club?

 
Hope this post gets through from my I phone again ! Well all I can say is if it all goes tits up until the boys get back for the champions league in march, the prawn sandwich merchants in the east and west stands - off the back of a non spending January ... Sing Roman out ! They deseve filling in - when getting their cabs just off the kings road !!!!

Well this latest development shows we're really are getting a good old fashioned beating with the injury stick at the moment.

It's actually become so ridiculously unlucky it's almost funny!

Can we stay in the title race despite all this....possibly, but I think we have to accept that we may not be leading the pack by the time we're finally anything near full strength. If we can hang on in there until the New Year, I still fancy us to come back and blitz the second half of the season, but I think it's very much a case of grabbing those grubby 1-0s and 2-1s (more likely given clean sheets will be harder to get) in the interim.

 
I wonder if it's possible to recall Slobodan Rajkovic.

 
I dont think that Rajokvic would be an upgrade to Bruma to be honest.. Lets wait and see what happens.. I just want that Bruma STARTS...instead of PF.
