Alex Telles

He's another guy a bit like Ziyech who is linked everywhere and never moves. I wonder what the hesitation from clubs has been? 

At the moment we would be happy to keep Alonso I think. Perhaps he will be an Emerson replacement.

Maybe he just hasn't wanted to leave? If I was at one of the biggest clubs in a nice hot country, of which I spoke the language I probably wouldn't be in a hurry to leave.

 
How good is this guy really? I don't get to watch much of Porto so don't really know what his strengths are apart from his set pieces. Is he quick, can he defend, does he cope well under pressure from fast wingers, is he good going forward?

Out of contract next summer so only 1 year left. Taking about £20m for him. No wonder Mariana is interested.

Telles is regarded as one of the best left backs in the game. If we get a chance to sign him, we must go for it.

 
May prove to be better than Emerson but there's a reason none of the big teams have snapped him up, he's average. But he may be the best we can do if City snap up Chilwell.

I mean, the same website has Andy Robertson's weakness as crossing and we all know how many assists he gets every season from doing that. I'd take it with a large pinch of salt. 

Zouma's tackling is also classes as a weakness on Whoscored, whereas that's probably one of his best traits imo. Zouma's strength is his passing too, make that make sense.

Chilwell is massively overrated. Plenty of Leicester fans don't think he should even be in their starting eleven. Best thing that could happen for us is for City to buy him and save us wasting more money at left back.

 
Apparently Porto still want his buyout of 40mill even with 1 year left.

Maybe a season of Alonso and Maatsen then get Telles on the Bosman.

 
To be honest, Considering the prices of what is available at LB, 40M doesnt seem unreasonable if he is WC.

 
There were reports that Real Madrid wanted him for the 40M but Porto would not sell him in January. You never know how much truth are in these transfer articles.

 
Telles is better than Chilwell in my books, and is looking to be 20m cheaper as there is no English tax. I think it will be a great signing. I'm hoping we can actually do what we did with Ziyech and sign them now for him to join in the summer.

Then we can focus all our efforts in the summer to buying a world class centre back like Skriniar or Koulibaly. World class winger like Sancho and world class forward like Werner or Martinez.

Not to mention all the excess players we can sell to recoup a whole bunch of money as well. Loan rules are coming into play so we have no choice but to make sales in the summer.
