I disagree with almost everything you say but I wouldn’t like to see you leave the forum. A forum is supposed to have opposing views, or it just becomes an echo chamber. There are certain posters on here with military background from the other side of the pond that never have anything worthwhile to contribute and the forum would be a much better place without them, you don’t fall into the category imo.

See this is where I struggle.

In one breath you are welcoming those with different opinions and in the next you are making a sweeping statement about a poster who is putting forward their opinion but because you don’t either agree with or see the relevance you are seemingly wishing them gone.

Nah - I am with UB here.

He certainly doesnt need me to fight his corner, as he can argue with the best of them, but I fully agree. There is a distinct difference between a poster who is clearly here only to be a contrary WUM, and someone who happens to have a different view.

UB and me have sometimes seen eye to eye on a couple of issues (Enzo F racism, Enzo M ineptitude). We have also often argued to stupid levels on other things (Jackson, Nkunku, Felix). We once had a back and forth in the early hours of the morning (my time) on IM - each trying to get the last word....for clarity I won that.

But through it all, and there has been a lot of time wasted back and forth, there is no doubt that he (or I for that matter) is a genuinely caring chelsea fan who supports the club and wants the best for them. It was also clear that neither of us were only here to be dicks and argue for the sake of it - even if sometimes it feels like it.

In comparison, other posters have seemed to do that as a matter of course. 1 guy who didnt like a particular view took to spouting abusive nonsense about mental health, racism and glory holes - simply to get attention/a reaction, because I didnt agree with him. That type of twat was rightfully banned.

In short - as with everything in life, nuance is key. It doesnt have to be a binary thing.

You might be out the loop on this one but Clown Lake is a previously banned member who has only popped back up to post inflammatory and divisive views in a trolling manner, shows no hint of actually being a Chelsea fan or wanting the best for the club and seems to relish in the attention that brings.

That’s who UB is referring to.

On multiple occasions UB has disagreed with my view on matters but sorry I have read both his comments to me and indeed to others and many are tantamount to bullying.

I actually find many of Clownlakes comments, because that’s who UB is referring to, as both logical and well scripted. The problem to me is that , and it’s something I have said before, some are desperate to see BlueCo fail.They will deny it but refer back to some of the comments around the CWC. For instance one stated we weren’t worthy winners because we lost a group game.

I would have been far happier if RA had still been in charge but he isn’t. It’s time some woke up and realised that basic fact.

As for UB not being a Dick and arguing for the sake of it that comment is laughable he hounded me because I happened to mention that I knew one of our directors. He thought he was being clever when in fact all he did from my perspective was cement my view that if you dare to disagree or he takes aim he is a classic bully

Try calling me a Johnny come lately or a WUM if you like but being a ST holder since prior to RA taking over ,going to my first game in 1968, travelling around both the UK and Europe to see hundreds of Chelsea games I am entitled to an opinion just the same as those who because of Geography or other reasons haven’t been as lucky as me are entitled to theirs but no let’s call someone out because they refer to Chelsea as the Blues as opposed to The Chels.

I am not out of the loop at all. I was accused of posting divisive views as was Clown Lake. Be he a Chelsea supporter or not I actually agree with a lot of his comments. So am I not a Chelsea fan because I dare disagree with others ?

Can’t particularly remember you posting anything too divisive along the Anti-RA, Anti-Brit level CL has so I’ll withhold comment

Never said anyone is less of a Chelsea fan for disagreeing with someone else, but I also think it’s blatantly obvious when someone genuinely has those views RE Evissy, as opposed to someone who is just trying to be ‘edgy’ and create a divide for a reaction.

Either way, we can agree to disagree on that point and agree it’s a shame to see Kev go due to the new influx of twitterati pundits.

 
Shame your going Kev, I don’t know you but I kind of know how you feel. Football is over saturated and has changed.

I tried to walk away from the game altogether a couple of years back, just started to find going to the game a complete rip off and watching it f**king boring. It became a chore. Plus I moved out of London.

So glad I didn’t give up my tickets, my boys go with their uncle now and when I do go I enjoy it again.

Take a break, don’t let others ruin something you love.

I’ve been on this site for a few years now and have enjoyed the banter. Sadly for me now it’s no longer enjoyable. It no longer reflects my love of CFC nor football in general. Apparently my generation doesn’t understand the modern game, although I’ve been going to the Bridge since 1968.

On reflection my love for the game has waned recently, it’s over analysed, especially by the media and as for the pre match, halftime and full time garbage spouted by the ‘celeb pundits’.

This forum is now more like an accountants spread sheet. Over analysed and full of baffling acronyms. Most of the posts now are by a few Clearlake fan boys with no sense of humour and a pig headed opinion.

Anyway not for me anymore bye to the proper Chelsea Football fans ktbffh.

One of the problems with this forum (and probably not limited to this forum) is that threads can become about posters/members rather than the original concept or opinion in the originators post. This can be clearly seen in this particular thread. This is even before the thread has been derailed into a statistical or financial w**kfest.

As they say in Dads Army ...we are doomed😂

Random potshot, but let’s not make this about us for once? We know you hate anything/anyone American and it would be easier to just put your bias aside. I was banned like 9 years ago…or some extreme number of years due to one person not agreeing with my opinion on R.A? Everyone you have claimed I was has been proven false, and full of agenda.

Sorry to hear you leave Kev, but you know what? I see your opinion, I respect it, and just as Evissy has said - maybe this place is better without the differing of opinions and for the posters in this forum.

I’ll leave respectfully if it means you’ll stay and thats a promise Kev.

It’s not a question of being upset it’s a question of expecting to receive respect from others that have a different take on matters. For some reason whenever anyone sees things differently you start Willy waving.

Don’t just reflect to some of your comments to me or Clown Lake look back at the way in which you addressed someone in the Dissasi thread particularly around potential profit. Your comments to my mind were patronising indeed the person you aimed them at clearly didn’t appreciate them.

 
Funny how this post has turned into the standard shedend argument that goes nowhere that is likely the reason @Kev56 has had enough.

Kinda see your point but I would say we need the better and less argumentative posters to stay or this place will only go in one direction. Good luck with whatever you decide.

As many posters have mentioned on this thread, one previously banned poster is the common denominator. I’ve had no issues on here over the last decade, a certain poster returns and suddenly people are leaving. Makes you think…

Ironically you were both right and wrong about his amortisation. He signed on after 1 July 23 meaning for UEFA his fee was amortised over 5 years in the PL it was 6 years. Irrespective in player trading terms his loan fee to Villa needs to be factored in.

Yes I have an interest in the numbers and make no apology for that. The simple fact is that we ignore this aspect at our peril. Not only that but without the regulatory and financial implications being factored in it is near enough impossible to gain any perspective around many of the choices and decisions the owners make.

I wish we could focus just on the players but sadly since the introduction of FFP &PSR the number crunching at the clubs has become far more of a factor.

Finally do you not even remember that exchange in the Diabolical Directors around me knowing one of our directors? That had nothing to do with £ it was you being an absolute arse!

 
Ukraine Bolt is the individual who throws rocks my way, but is an absolute cancer to this forum. Him alongside the few in his “crew”. Everywhere he is it is just toxicity and is destroying the forum. He complains about posts I made countless years ago but has been an absolute cancer on here.

@Kev56 if you think im the main reason youre leaving, let me know and ill hop off this forum for good.
