England should try and get Hiddink. He seems to have success with every team he's at. Almost anyway.

And if Hiddink takes over I would perhaps consider supporting England again.

Agree with Moos actually- if there's one manager able to come in and impose his style quickly on a team it's Hiddink.

Failed to qualify for the last two international tornements

Good for Capello.

With the FA going over his head to strip JT of his Captaincy, they basically told Fabio that it's their team and his say doesn't matter. As a manager, that's a very bad situation to be in. It should be his squad and the FA should know that he'll do what he believes is right.

I wish that JT would walk away as well.

And I agree with the folks that say that JT will be blamed for this. The FA is at fault, not JT or Fabio. Unless JT is guilty, then he should have done the right thing and stepped down. Innocent until proven guilty is how it goes, isn't it?

That's true barak but in the three tournaments before that he wildly exceeded expectations.

Russia semi-finals

Australia R16 (only knocked out by that diving c**t Grosso)

Sth Korea semi-finals

He's a tournament guy. Who also has a history of pulling together difficult squads and making it work Netherlands 98

David Moyes would do a better and fairer job than 2-bit Redknapp IMO.

He has class and does performs miracles every season!

I can see JT ending his international career now, the man that stood up for him put his reputation on the line and quit his job in the name of justice. He has shown faith to his captain ....now its JT's turn to show respect for Fabio. Just as well make a mockery of the whole sordid affair anyway and get it done in one foul swoop. JT will definitely be guilty now because the FA can't be seen to have made such a f**k up...

I read Simon Kuper's "The Football Men" about a month ago. In it he describes Guus Hiddink as seriously interested in taking the England job after the 2006 World Cup, but he backed away because he feared harassment from the British tabloids.

Apparently Hiddink likes coming into divided camps, working with difficult personalities (he's always wanted to work with Rooney) and quickly turning a team around in time for a major tournament. No better opportunity to do all that then now, and then walk away in July, regardless of what happens.

Good for Capello.the media 'circus' surely must take some responsibility for this decision. they have hounded JT and seemingly found him guilty

So the football writers reckon these are the credentials of an England manager

Bournemouth

Football League Division Three: 1986–87

Football League Trophy: 1983–84

West Ham United

UEFA Intertoto Cup: 1999

Portsmouth

Football League Division One: 2002–03

FA Cup: 2007-08

Tottenham Hotspur

Football League Cup runners up: 2009

That's in 30 years of management (he had a few years in US as a player/assistant manager but we won't count that)

Well then I hope he stays! I don't care the outcome as long as it has a bad affect on Spuds.

'Arry should get the job..six million a year and wing commander Scotty Scott Parker as Captain...

Its a match made in Heaven...Neil Warnock to Spurs, perfect...(that bits never going to happen unfortunately)

Yeah, but Steve Bruce could get the Spuds job - now that would be something. Think I'll send in his application.

I think the FA should invite potential candidates to submit a written application.......... Good luck 'arry

He has every right to an amanuensis!
