I thought Torres was good tonight.. as I've said before he was a menace and took the (deflected) goal well but in a CL semi final .. and for some players (probably Atletico rather than us) the biggest match of some players careers - If you score you celebrate. I don't care where you came from or where you made your debut... Yes Torres played well but if were paying him 150 odd grand a year he can celebrate against a club he hasn't played for 10 years

Im picking bones though. Pi*sed me off that he didn't celebrate but ok he was one of our best players tonight
He will probably be back at Atletico this summer.

I still believe Mikel's presence on the bench causes a negativity around the team.

How would you feel if you knew you could be substituted at any moment for the Nigerian Vidal.
Why pick on Mikel? he was not on the bench,he was not causing any negativity around the team Sunday was he?

Best team over two legs won. Well done Atletico Madrid.

I think we have exceeded expectations in this CL quarter final was the best I was hoping for so well done lads.

3\4 big signing and we will be a big force next season.

Just hope City win the Prem..

Best of luck in the final Atletico hope it's a good game

I actually agree I don't think celebrating a goal is offending the opposition fans but a lot of players do and at the end of the day if they play 100% like torres did and score in the first place who really cares. He is an athletico boy just like we are all chelsea. I certainly don't know how I'd react if I scored against us

I have to say, I thought Torres was lucky with his goal as it was the only time he escaped from Godin's pocket over 180 mins & came with an obvious deflection. Otherwise, he was pretty ineffective as per usual. But hey, this isn't about him. Atleti were much the better side over two legs & I think Jose took the squad, despite so many problems, as far as he could go. They exceeded all expectations in getting this far, and without doubt, once he's made his acquisitions in the summer, we'll be a much more complete and powerful side. Make no mistake about that. Nothing to be ashamed of tonight. At this level, just losing your No1 keeper can be the difference.

Congratulations to Atletico, tough team.

The gamble didn't pay off tonight, should have kept Dave at LB with hindsight.

It's a shame that the two players coming back from injury made the mistakes, Eden switched off for their first goal, and Eto'o made a challenge that he didn't need to make for the penalty, two errors that JM will not be happy with.

Courtois, what a prospect he is, if we want to remain at the top of European football, we will need Courtois.

We have to keep him, he looks the real deal and has played a huge part in his team being in a CL final and on the brink of toppling Madrid and Barca to the title.

It would be utter madness to let a gem like that slip

When we signed Cech we had Carlo still in goal. A fan favourite who a few of us (me included) did not expect to get displaced. However he was injured, Cech came in and was immense and the rest is history. Is it going to be the case the Cech's injury keeps him out of pre season, Courtios impresses and the rest is history?

Not sure if I want Costa here. He's the kind of a prick I'd be asking for his head if he played for our rival. On the other hand we really need to bring somebody in and let go of others and Costa is definitely the guy who'd go to the wall for scoring. But no way in hell if Courtois should be included as a permanent transfer 'cause that man is a giant.

it'd do us no harm to have competiton for the number 1 shirt; i'd bring Courtois back  and give him a run from the start of the season

If he is who Jose wants he will have my full backing.

What a weird few years it has been eh?  Couple of years ago we won the CL with a Chelsea man at the helm, a fan favourite who's career was ended by a horrific leg break while playing for us. A man who has still much passion for our club. That was a brilliant, brilliant moment in my life, when Didier stuck that pen away.

Last year we had a man mainly despised by our fans replace him, and we went on to win the Europa league which some found hard to enjoy with what went down that season.

Now we lose with another Chelsea man at the helm. I tell you what; win, lose or draw we can be proud to have someone leading the team that feels it as personally as we do, the disappointment, the joy, all of it.

Anyone else feel if we had cech or courtois in goal tonight we wouldn't of conceded that first goal. They are the kind of crosses cech eats up
