Hahahah I feel like an idiot. 

No we're going to fly into 2nd, not float around the pitch aimlessly like we have done many a time over the past 3 seasons. Very confident about this game for some reason.

 
            The team i want us to go with

               Cech

Dave -  Cahill -Terry - Bertrand

         Ramires - Mikel

Oscar  -   Mata  -   Hazard
 

             Torres

And the team that will line out
               Cech
Ivan  - Cahill   - Terry   -  Dave

         Ramires - Lampard
Schurrle     Oscar      Hazard 
              Torres

Mata being left out would be acceptable if we were controlling and winning games without him, he needs a run of 5 or 6 starts to get back into form so we can start playing decent football again. 
 

 
Would love to see: Cech, Azpi, Cahill, Terry, Bertrand/Cole; Mikel, Ramires, KDB; Hazard, Mata, Torres.

The trepidation with which this game is anticipated is indicative of how we have started the season - and we are playing ....Southampton ( allbeit a quite good Southampton)!

A big game for Jose. There is a growing number of doubters out there and here's a chance to show that he's still the special one.

Nobby got the better of him a couple of weeks ago and now he's up against a very good young manager who is getting the very best out of his squad . If Jose does the same then its no contest.

Over to you Jose for team selection but on the back of a shocker in mid week the very least we should expect is a reaction from manager and players - and hopefully a good home performance and 3 points.

Squad depth should start to kick in about now, so hopefully it's time for Southampton to run out of steam and start the inevitable descent to mid table. We should stroll this if we don't get sloppy and/or complacent. Early goal(s) probably not a good idea.

 
More importantly we need to get 3 points.

Somehow I think Soton is easier for us than someone like Newcastle or West Brom. Their style is closer to ours which comes more down to player quality. We have 3 times more quality.

Would love to see Mata come on after the first half and light up our game as we cruise to victory.

 
Must win now -- if we draw Arsenal will be 6 points clear. C'mon Chelsea (tomorrow!)

Thank God we didn't play today, tomorrow is the 1st of December, our jinxed month behind us, let's push on and be there for when Arsenal have their dip, 4-1 with Oscar on top form.

 
This is not going to be easy but we'll end up deservedly winning. 3-1 or 2-0.

 
Sorry guys but this one has a draw written all over it. They will frustrate us and they can play some decent stuff.  Hopefully jose freshens the team up today and gives lampard and ivan a rest. I'd like to see schurrle in the team to and mata. Hopefully the injury hasn't set torres back and he can kick on from the man city game.

 
Oscar or KDB alongside Mikel, with Mata, Hazard and Schürrle behind Torres. Please José.
