I know - just replying why I was asking the question in the 1st place.

And the mother of his child, ex or not (all argued in the other thread BTW)

As it turns out there maybe a few other in that dressing room and half the opposition, oh and a few supports (if they were in boy bands pre 2000) who have been 'up the girl in question'.

I dunno how Bridge was silly enough to hav a kid with the girl if half his mate had had a go first, sorry if that sounds a bit crude but the more I read she sounds like the Chelsea execrise bike!

Weither Terry looses the armband or not, I doubt Bridge will play in the same side as him again.

For all we know, she may not even have minded him having the odd burger away from home as long as he was discreet about it.

What about if he starts f*cking the woman you sit next to at work, and she knew you still held a flame for him. Would you be pissed off with her? Not even a little?

of course she would be pissed off, and rightly so. but she would still have no real argument, she has no legal grip over him and theres no legal waiting time you know. terry has done wrong but the woman he slept with was single and had no obligation towards any man, wether she had a kid to them or not. or is there some legal waiting time we dont know about?

She would not know I still held a flame for him because I wouldn't go blubbing to people. I would grit my teeth and wish her well. I might be pissed off with him, but not with her.

I pretty much agree with Yorkyblue, people are f**king about on there partners every sinigle day of there lives for one reason or another.

Spining it on it's head for a moment what if terry had alerady decided that his marrige was dead and sets up shop with brigdes ex (as she will now be refferd to for the rest of her life.) because that is actually what he really wants, that what he needs to be happy in his life.

Is he still to be condemed or possibley admired for making some very hard choices that are going to suck in the short term but in the long term could be best for every one including himself. In my oppinion as long as he remains an ever present farther there is no problem. Not all marriges work our and being a football player doesn't make you any different.

That could not be the case at all, its just one view point. And to be honest who actually cares.. the only thing that actually matters is that JT is by far the most natrual leader in the squad. Cappelo's job is to try and win the world cup , having JT as captian is one step in the right direction. Bridge doesn't need to like him, he just has to do a job and the way his form is going he may not even be required to do that

 
John Terry should retain the captaincy.

What he has done should be sorted between him and his wife. It has nothing to do with anyone else.

Whatever you think of him as a man should be kept apart from what you think of him as a professional footballer.

He is an adulterer - no more than that.

The man who will be KING is an adulterer.

The last Conservative PRIME MINISTER was an adulterer (if Edwina Currie can be believed!)

These people run the country and nothing has happened to them!

Did not a previous England manager commit adultery with a secretary from the FA?

It is, as we all know, rife in all walks of life. JT should not be punished for doing what thousands do every day.

I for one, look forward to the day that he holds the world cup aloft and rams all this back down the throats of the media!

 
The whole thing is absurd- the woman is an ex-girlfriend, Bridge doesn't own her and at most he has betaryed the friendship and personal loyalty he owed Bridge. There's nothing socially unacceptable about what he's done- unforuntately for Bridge "Being a loyal friend to Wayne Bridge" is not a pre-requisite for being the England captain. Don't get me wrong Bridge is a player I've always admired even when he replaced king Le Saux prematurely- he makes it hard not to. But let's not confuse a question of loyalty with a question of ethics. It's not as if he is selling drugs to children or spending his saturday evenings with Bluebeard- he just screwed bridge's ex-girlfriend. Question of personal loyalty.

 
John Terry hasn't done anything wrong apart from being a good defender. Don't the Coach normally tell you, if a full back leaves a hole, it's the job of the centre back to fill it.

Graham Taylor doesn't have a political agenda regarding the WC nor does Stan Collymore or numerous others who have come out in support of JT. They are coming out in support of him keeping the captaincy because it is the right decision to make.

 
Lamps , but Gerrard is favourite. Im sure Cappello will have said to him, your still the leader , just not wearing the armband.

Just worried how it might affect him if they win the W.C. but he dosent get to lift the trophy , that would be very tough on him.

 
I heard though a mate who knows staff at Man Utd that Ferdinand is properly crocked .. at least that is the word round the cmap fire as it were.

I am told that if he plays on for much longer he risks permenant back damage..

Like I say it was a bit of gossip I got from a mate nothing more, but he had no reason to lie to me.. so who knows certainly looking a shadow of his former self this season.

Cant wait to see what Capello has to say.. he migh have onyl dropped JT temporarily ... if he was to win some major trophies as captain of Chelsea this season and is insperational between now and May he might be forced to re-instate him
