And yet Johan Cryuff deemed it impossible for those three to effectively work together. Particularly when Enrique decided to remove Messi from his false 9 role.
Johan was not always right, just more often than everyone else.

It could have been a bit of a mess, like the rarely convincing Messi/Neymar/Mbappe trio in PSG, but ultimately Luis Suarez lack of primadonna traits made it work for Barca.

Luis Enriques achievements are somewhat dubious. Your mums could win the league if they had peak Messi, peak Neymar and peak Suarez at their disposal.
I thought Pirlo f**king up the Juve job would have stopped this type of nonsense.

Allegri has also f*cked up the Juve job. Yes they lost Ronaldo but they spend 90m on Vlahovic and Locatelli and they haven't been anywhere near the title these past two seasons, even if you account for the points deduction they'd be 3rd below Sarri's Lazio

Neymar and Messi are far past their prime at this point, they arguably were better before Messi came (though Tuchel had left as well)

One thing is very clear, Mudryk is as good as dead if we appoint Nagelsmann, who will not play him as a touchline winger.

Nagelsmann will never escape the Potter comparisons because fundamentally their idea is to play different systems and tweak with things, you can do that in Bundesliga due to the lack of technical quality of the opposition; it won’t translate well in the Premier League. Here, the best teams need reliable and set tactics, which is what Enrique offers and his successful experience dealing with egos. Starting to worry our new sporting directors are just trying to get together with their mate from RedBull rather than what is best for Chelsea, thought the nepotism would end with Frank but maybe not.

It cannot be overstated that in the summer there will be a big shake up and outside of the tactical aspect.. you want someone ‘above’ it all; experienced with seasoned ideas and a clear system. Not another ‘project’ manager in a do or die season for UCL football, or a 35 year old kid sliding through on a hoverboard fresh out the Bundesliga womb for the first time.

Didn’t Dani Olmo do well under Nagelsmann?

I understand he was used in numerous roles under Naglesmann (as typical with him) like as a number 10, happy for any RB enthusiasts to enlighten us further on that though.

Mudryk is a touchline winger, he needs to hang wide.

Then why was Gusto announced?
Different deal mate, we wanted him immediately they wouldn't oblige. It was then decided we would buy and loan him back. Don't worry it's done, I'm sure we will have an explanation soon enough. Notice he hasn't been linked with anyone else literally no one. He's a blue, the priority is now to pair him (a world class attacker) with a top striker and essentially have that as our attack (board's plan)

Guardiola is currently playing a 3-2-4-1 with City if I'm not mistaken, he innovates constantly. Just because Potter was poor that doesn't mean every flexible manager is bad. And just because some system managers are good that doesn't mean every system manager is good.

My first choice would be De Zerbi given how he's gotten a fairly mediocre squad scoring for fun whilst playing incredible football, but Nagelsmann wouldn't be far behind.

The only huge risk for me would be Enrique, as he hasn't proven he can succeed without an elite set of players (which we don't have).

Then that is bad news for Enrique as he doesn't play that way.

Be it Nagelsmann or Enrique, certain investments are going to be phased out. Horrible, horrible planning yet again.
