FM13 costs £53 on steam? It cost me less than £30 on release last year
Yep, extortionate price on Steam, given that you can get the game elsewhere for a whole lot less.

First Real hire JT as their manager, now Atleti have snapped up Van Persie!

Just started it for the first time, Lofty, it's incredibly overwhelming. Little doubt I'll come to relish it over time though. I'll be downloading those skins and whatnot, but thanks anyway for answering all my (rather annoying?) questions.

Not annoying mate, I was once an FM newbie as well!

I cannot recommend that 'Guide to Football Manager' website highly enough, by the way, it really helped me get to grips with the inner workings of the game.

Any topic you could possibly need advice on is covered in great detail, the section on player roles is particularly useful for getting a deeper understanding of how the various roles work individually and as a unit within the game.

FM seems to be 66% off on steam today (for 12 more hours). 28 US dollars.

Well, it's fair to say that we've sealed our spot in the quarters for a fourth year in a row after this.

Terrific performance, ceded the midfield in the 70th minute and brought on an extra striker to play as a link up man when we were 2-0 up, he was directly involved in the build up of our third and fourth goals.

I guess it depends on the country. I just picked it up this weekend and it was a lot cheaper.

There's a headline that I never thought I'd read.

Indeed, it's the fruit of a decades worth of work, in FM terms!

As Cam said, there has been a big sale this weekend.

Yeah, it was $14. It's still 50% cheaper than what Cam was saying and that might be per Steam market.

You know you're on the right track when you're making enemies with Rafa...

David Moyes is still in charge at Everton, amazingly enough. He's had a few hairy moments, flirting with relegation and having his position questioned, but he's always recovered and they're currently on the verge of clinching Champions League football.

After winning two Champions League wins with Real Madrid, Jose has managed Man City, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Aston Villa, where he currently resides.

We've just notched up our third Premiership title in four years, and have an FA Cup final against Man City and a European Cup final against Man United on the cards. United are hunting for their fourth title in a row, we'll be hard pressed to stop them, but we've got a chance at the first English treble since 1999 so hopefully we can get over the line in Moscow.

Might have to buy FM14 when it comes out.

Might start off unemployed and try work my way up the leagues.

When I do a game where I try to start from the bottom...I tend to start Blue Square North/South, choose a team with a decent size stadium, no debt, and mid-table expectations. Try to get rid of awful players, get some free transfers with the free wage space, and more often than not, I'll make at least play-offs in the first season.

I end up going through the leagues, usually building my team entirely of free transfers (and some cheap regens when they come in), until I get to the championship, where I normally have enough money to start spending some money.

My favourite games always end up being this type.

yeah, if you start any higher up then you've pretty much done everything you can after just a few seasons.
