Great World Cup or just quite good?

Amazing scoreline but if anything showed how bad the standard was for a team as lame as Brazil to get to the last four

I don't know why but I loved Italia 90 the best, despite going out on penalties to the Germans...Maybe it was the theme tune that hooked me.

Think all of us England fans around at the time will always hold italia 90 close to our hearts, even though our run to semi final makes judging the tournament as a whole difficult because we're obviously biased...if that team played the current shower, I reckon a Germany v Brazil score line would be seen again...it was cos of that tournament that we have the premier league and football in this country is as big as it is

I had only just been born when Italia 90, so I can't judge it.

However, I haven't enjoyed a World Cup this much since 1998 in France. I was in Disney Land Paris at the time, and I remember the atmosphere around Paris.

2014 was definitely the best though. Group Stage was absolutely stunning. Knockout Stages were still good though. Fantastic atmospheres and some real surprises too.

Enjoyable.  I liked the kick off times, great attacking football, not so great defending.  Hardly surprised by England's performance, can the journo's please stop calling Rooney & Gerrard (the latter especially) world class once and for all.

Good to see Central and South American countries like Costa Rica, Colombia come to the fore.

African football has gone backwards with the exception of Algeria.

Positives for the USA and Australia.

Brasil, overrated as always, caught out big time, embarrassing really.

Argentina could have won it with a decent striker.

Messi, very good but not the real deal without the right players around him, likewise Ronaldo, IMO the better player but in a sh*tty team.

Shame it's finished for me, back to DIY.
