Seems like a great deal for everyone.

I'd guess that Monaco will be in the Champions league the season after next if they sign some of the class players they are being linked with.

Plus, Ligue 1 isn't exactly strong so jumping up there wouldn't be as hard as in other leagues.

I know a lot of people on here have jumped on their highhorses about players joining Monaco, calling them money grabbers etc, but Monaco is becoming the perfect club to go to. Massive tax free wages, perfect location and a team that is on the up with great ambition and if managed properly will be a big force in European football in years to come.

Can't imagine selling Ivanovic.

For me he's really become a part of Chelsea. Some players really fit a club and just like Lampard, Terry, Drogba, Cech, Cole and now Mata, I feel the same is true of Ivanovic. He's come good at crucial times as well. He scored the goal against Napoli to take us into the QF of our CL win and he started cleared the ball out of Barca's box that Torres ran onto and sealed our place in Munich!! Even though he was suspended in Munich, he once again came good and won us the Europa Trophy.
