Possible wouldn't make the World Cup anyway will he is starting to show the fatigue of putting his body on the line for club and country.

I have been thinking it for sometime I hope he uses the time to start his coaching badges.

No surprise really , the F.A and England fans have never backed or shown any support for him so why should he bother anymore. England are in real trouble now especially if we are continue with Lescott and Jagielka in defense, they were unbelievable poor against Ukraine, they could barely move, it's like they were playing with weights around their ankles.

 
Just seen this on the Sky Sport's website via Twitter, in the article is states this:

'The delegation, led by George Carter-Stephenson QC - who successfully defended Terry in court - are said to be ready to argue that his acquittal in a criminal trial means the FA case cannot proceed. That would involved citing FA rule 6.8, which governs disciplinary hearings and states that the results of relevant civil or criminal proceedings are "presumed to be correct and the facts presumed to be true" by FA commissions.'

That's pretty strong isn't it?! To get the case thrown out?! I mean are you freakin' kidding me or have I totally missed something?! If, by their own frickin' rules, it states that what the court have found out is considered true then why the hell are they starting proceedings?! Because of a public backlash? To be seen as competent (too late)? Or is it just one great big huge witch hunt against him? Someone with legal knowledge please explain how they can start action of a 'crime' he has been found not guilty of!!!!!!!! (multiple exclamations needed)

So if JT gets banned thats gonna leave us a centre back short for a period I know we could probably cope but we've had multiple injuries all at once before

 
I agree with most here that it's a result for the club in the longer term. He's going to get a fairly long rest due to an unjust ban, aand when he comes back he'll be able to concentrate on Chelsea only.. Result for us. BUT..

Spare a thought for JT, he loves playing for his country, he's been there through thick and thin, stripped of the captaincy not once but TWICE,, takes dogs abuse from the majority of England fans when he plays, yet still he wanted to play.

This must have really torn him up to make this heart wrenching decision,one of the best England captains, i feel for you mate. .

Just on a side note, it may leave him open to take his case (should he get banned) to the arbitration of sport, without the risk of losing his England place?

Its funny I have a mate whose a Gooner, he asked me what I thought about the JT thing. I said good on him FA have screwed him n he said he doesn't care cause he hates JT and he's s**t. I just said its a fact that england with him are better than without him and he might nit be as good as he was a few years ago but still good enough. He also wouldnt agree with me that he was awesome when we won in the league titles on 2004/05 & 2005/06. It makes me laugh how non Chelsea fans hate him so much that they can't even admit he's a good player and his awards listed above PROOVE he's been a tremendous player. I hate Stevie G but I can even admit he's been an awesome player just don't get why football fans can be so stupid.

 
You will never get that level of commitment from another player wearing the shirt.

He finished his last game for England limping around because they had no subs left. As if anyone need more proof of his unrivalled commitment.

Good, he's been one of the few in the 'golden generation' that was passionate about playing for England. He's been stripped of the captaincy twice, booed off by his own 'fans' and constantly disrespected. f**k the national team, they don't deserve John Terry.

That's football and football fans for you.

If JT had played for United or Liverpool the country would be in mourning and acknowledging they have lost arguably their best defender of the last 8/9 years.

Drogba is the same, one of the best strikers this country has ever seen yet never appreciated.

People laugh but I genuinely believe it is a club thing. Tell me JT would be hated to this extent if he were a West Ham, United or Liverpool player? We'll just have to live with the fact only Chelsea fans will ever appreciate our players, same with Lampard, Drogba, Cole when they all go, no doubt the same with Hazard, Oscar and Moses etc.

It's about who you play for, not how good you are.

 
The best defender England have had in my life time in my opinion, and as seems to be innate in everything English we have to crush and destroy everything that is great.

don't know why but what he put up with from the FA and the gutter press was disgusting. peoples minds are so easy to poison and manipulate, history may actually show that JT was responsible for the famin, sunamies and mass war, let me not forget the alien invasion of 2015 that was all JT.

For me as stated above he is the best defender England have ever had and one of the most natural leaders I have ever seen in any industry.

I tend to always say i don't give a f**k about what footballers do of the pitch, crouch wants to sleep with a prostitue, fair play to him, it's his money, let him be.

But just to set the record straight because this drives me crazy, there is nothing to suggest that JT is anything but a solid adult with a couple of stupid mistakes in his youth and a weakness for a supper hot women. more then half the people that condemed him for these actions would have done the latter and have probably done worse in there time and every one had stupid youths when your brain seems to take a holiday between 16 and 22 (varies from person to person)
