JT and LAMPS

I would like them both to stay at the club.. partially because they have been and continue to be great players and great servants to the club. Additionally, the core of our team do a great job in instilling the 'chelsea way' into new young players.. like Drogba spoke about after the Munich final.

My only worry about Frank is that he isn't going to be playing as much as he did before, I know AVB went the wrong way about it, but by dropping Frank and some of the older players, it caused real problems in the dressing room. Will he be happy playing a bit part within our team over the next few years? I personally don't think this would be a problem, but there's always that lingering doubt. Don't want another start like this last season... despite the great ending.

Who said swap Sturridge for Walcott? Certainly wasn't me and I guess having an opinion on Lampard is taboo in this forum, in fact having an opinion on this site is outlawed, we all have to agree with you, dkw all the time or we are all idiots

Where did I call you an idiot? all I want was for you to back up your argument that all Lampard does is sideways or backwards passes,. I can argue the opposite quite easily by showing his assists over seasons, where he has been either our top assist maker or there abouts, point to this seasons final few games in the CL where he created goals with incisive forward passing etc.

 
Carlo came out and said there is no interest in JT from PSG.

 
Wouldn't like to see any of the two leave this year, they still have at least 2 more years left in them to give us. But that being said like someone else said £13m for a 34 year old, how many players do you know would turn that down?

Also £10m for Terry is also a good price. But like I said I want them to stay with us for another year, then after that we will see how Lampard has done and should take it from there.

But in my eyes they are two of the greatest players to wear our shirt!

 
20 million for 2 years? The article points out he makes 12 million a season at Chelsea. I'd love for Lampard (my favorite athlete ever) to become a star in the US, but not for another 2 seasons probably. He's got records to break! 17 more goals to go!

 
I reckon he'll go next summer when his contract expires - or did he sign a contract extension?

I reckon Bleakley would fancy it.

saw a real sign of lamps lack of passing ability at the nou camp...oh wait a minute...who supplied that killer pass for Ramires again? to not rate lamps after everything he has done for the club is bordering on insanity...suggest that cfccan goes to specsavers

JT has long term plans at Chelsea, coaching/ management, Lampard, so far has not expressed any thoughts on his future in football after his playing days are done, so with that in mind.....keep Terry

 
The thing is JT may want a break from football for a year or two after he hangs his boots up. You just never know.

Who would have thought that Gary Neville would have gone on to be on Sky every week.

I think if he leaves, it'll be next season too. He'll want to win the Super Cup & World Club Championship and try to retain the CL IMO.

I still don't think America is an option unless his kids & his ex will move with him...! Beckham & Keane took their kids (I know Henry didn't to NY) over the pond, I really can't see Lamps leaving them and not seeing them for months on end.

 
We all know , this will happen sooner or later with JT and Lamps. Someday they will change the club or retire. The question is what will happen after? Who will replace JT? Who will replace Lamps? JT is a defender you cannot JUST replace but Lamps... Best English midfielder ever lived. I mean really, replacing lampard isn't possible for another 10 years. He is something special i cannot even describe and i will be really sad when he leaves/retires.

I want Lamps to finish at Chelsea and seeing my fav player of all time becoming the top goalscorer of all time for my club would be perfect. He can't leave/retire until he breaks that record.
