Matic

He's transformed our midifeld.  I can see why Benfica fans called him "the spider".  If we can get a playmaker next to him we'll be set.  We're really terrible at keeping the ball.

There certainly wouldnt be any language barriers between them

But its a pipe dream. Modric has been playing well at Real and they wont be letting him go

You can never say never with Madrid, a manager change and everything is up in the air. I wouldn't have believed Ozil would be sold last year.

But here is an idea. I agree that we need a rolls royce of a player next to Matic. Personally I think we have a few options we could try out there, Josh being one of them (cue the fifa/Football Manager JCL)

But if we really don't have any one at home and Bayarn are hell bent on getting hold of Luiz, we should maybe consider strong arming and asking for Kroos in return

just a shame that we had no direction or faith in developing players. otherwise we would of saved that huge fee!!

In all honestly Benfica was a fantastic move for him. It allowed him to develop his technical ability and actually get games in a top team

Benfica are amazing at bringing through young players and developing them

 
I've noticed he runs out of gas at about the 70th minute though

I've watched it live but still can't find.

I don't mean to brag but Gigi read my tweet on the show  :biggrin:   It was about Matic's favorite music and he told her is serbian music. Then I tweet this:

You wouldn't want to walk into Matic in a dark alley, him and Ivan must throw bricks at eachother for pre match preparation.

Wouldn't bother buying a "Hazard 17" shirt next year then! If he wants the number 10, I can't see him not getting it.

Very funny how Hazard made up his own rules in table football and was desperate not to lose. Good to see the banter between players as well as them both saying Hazard plays jokes on Salah, meaning he must be pretty integrated with the squad.  :smile:
