What I don't get is how Roman got his sh*t stolen from him just because he's a Putin acquaintance even though he didn't start anything and we as a club have never done anything remotely associated with the war or any country other than England

I think if it was any other club it wouldn't have happened. We were an easy target and apart from Chelsea fans , fans of all the other clubs were delighted.

 
I don't know what "socialism" has to do with this, this government is in no way anything near being socialist, the act of stopping winter fuel duty and it's support of Israel to the point of providing surveillance information to Israel via RAF flights from Cyprus are just a couple of many indications that it's just the same as the other lot.

Supporting an ally under threat is just normal for any government be they capitalist or socialist?

I imagine we have very different political views so shall refrain from taking this topic off the subject of the club being stolen from our former owner, the innocent Israeli businessman, Sir Roman Abramovich.

Is Abramovich Russian or Israeli? Most of the Oliarchs moved to Israel and took Israeli citizenship, about 50 of them last time I read up on it. Essentially, the UK government and others will be stealing Jewish/Israel money to hand to a Jewish leader in Ukraine, one of the most corrupt places on the planet.

Even more strange is that both Putin and Netanyahu have arrest warrants out for them by the International Criminal Court and accrding to netanyahu, are regularly in conversation. There is an interesting read to be had on Putins Aliyah, and of course, if you have spent any time in Israel, certainly in Jerusalem and Haifa, the menues are firstly printed in Russian, then Hebrew and then English in many restuarants. this of course may have changed but the demographic shift in Israel has become problematic when it comes to integration.

Given Roman funded lawfare in the UK, its far more likely the British govt goes bankrupt before Roman if the case goes to court, money is still no object to him.

Fascinating times and my money is on Roman to win, like we did under his midas touch of ownership. The guy doesnt fail.

You'd think Roman diverting Russian money into buying something frivolous, like a football club and some luxury London mansions, would be seen as a good thing ! It's Russian money that didn't end up spent on cyber attacks, weapons and wars ...

Its the governments perogative. There's currently about 500 million owed to the taxpayer by two Lords in Westminster, It will be far easier to get that money to pay for the loans the Govt just gave Ukraine, I have zero issue with those loans either. Its just a frightful mess of the governments making and I want the collapse of it and new elections... That would possibly bring in Reform who I loath with every bone in my body but if it ends the current debarcle in Westminster, I'll take five years of them.

What was brought up? Hopefully Eghbali has ties to Venezuela and has been sanctioned so now clearlake is forced to sell.

Where was this venom when it happened? Where were the super league like protests?

Surely it is not just recently people have realized this was all a money/political power grab? They threatened our clubs existence and our core fanbase just accepted it.

Well, to be fair, it was about the fact that the Tory shadow Attorney General is acting on behalf of Abramovitch , and is delaying the release of funds.

Sanction and sell our club, but it's s OK for A Tory peer to take large fees to defend Ambramovich.
