What would you change around Adam? I'd have Hales or Bopara for Ballance and maybe Tredwell for Finn.

 
Yeah pretty much that. Hales for Ballance and Tricky Tredderz for Finn. 

I also think Broad is only in on reputation now, but the squad selection was so poor that there's not many other options.

 
Broad seems to be getting pocked on the past not the present...bowls well very rarely these days and does little with the bat

His batting in particular, for a guy that some try and call an all-rounder has been awful. Shows the bowler all 3 stumps.

 
Yep, or Root or Buttler. Seems like England would rather Ballance gets in, to try and fine form as opposed to pushing the 350-400 mark.

No ambition whatsoever. Like Bumble said, it's like watching a net session. The Moeen sixes aside, this is a pretty dreary match.

On the bright side, it will take some doing to lose this one now...

 
Haha, 2 wickets in 2 overs. Are we going to get another trademark collapse?

 
172-0 after 30 overs to 303-8. Rubbish. Fully expecting to wake up to the news that Scotland have chased it down.

 
Why wasn't buttler promoted ahead of taylor...we just don't adapt to the situation...buttler had five overs max to score, taylor is just another nurdler...we have too many steady eddies like him in our team...we need more people that hit boundaries, not singles

Well, we beat them. It struck me as odd however that I felt genuine relief that we beat Scotland.

Taylor isn't a nurdler at all. Ballance is though and shouldn't be in the team, and I agree we don't adjust at all. 180-0 and Ballance comes in, ridiculous.

Do you mean in ODIs or everything? Cos he had a fantastic summer with the ball in tests.

Fair point in ODIs though. Hasn't done anything since his injury, might take some time so we shouldn't have rushed him back for a World Cup.

She's a natural beauty and seems lovely as well. Looks very likely to develop into a multiple slam winner. Just edges out Laura Robson for me in terms of my favourite female player.

She's struggling a little bit at the moment against big flat hitters but hopefully she regains her composure, recovers from her arm injury and she'll be back playing next week in Mexico.

I love her personality, sweetness and the fact that she's actually a good tennis player. A lot of people reckon she's the next Kournikova in the making but I think she has more mental resolve than Kournikova ever did. 

By the way she's 21 today! ::clap2::

So South Africa made over 400 today against the windies...so many teams in just a different league to England...even if we get through to knockout stage, it's just delaying the inevitable...exactly same script as the football team
