Not sure how accurate that is though, and I suspect we'll receive the full amount if Hazard scores a ton of goals and wins a UCL as well

We're guaranteed at least €130m from the sale. With Madrid winning the league we've already triggered one of the bonus payments as well. 

Over £100m for a player approaching 30 with 12 months left on their contract is good deal for us, especially when you look at how it's been reinvested.

Looks excellent. Kind of crazy how the fee went from £90m and could go upto £140m!

I mean Hazard is genuinely world class, but I think for a player on his last year approaching 30, thats one hell of a deal! Especially considering if we do get £140m we have used that money to buy Ziyech, Werner and Havertz

lets not become stat merchants now all of a sudden just because Hazard doesnt play for us anymore... His goals and assists was never crazy for us either, yet the impact he made was huge.

Though for RM he has been injured a lot, but hes been good for them, just not great because of certain situations

I think I agree with that sentiment .. let’s not disrespect players who have it their all for this club.. the guy carried the club for 2 seasons.. I just feel this talk of us fleecing Madrid and they not getting what they paid for is disrespectful.. we should thank hazard he didn’t throw a for refused to train like the snake and ended up going for 50 mil..

You can laugh about it if you think of it like this....we sold RM a Ferrari, but they don't know how to drive it.

Exactly ... no-one is laughing at or disrespecting Hazard ... we're taking the piss out of Real Madrid ! Not sure why people are getting all twisted up about that LOL.

I doubt there is anyone on here who wouldn't take Hazard back into the fold when he's done out there ...

 
It must have been a transfer ban premium, the club were most likely willing to actually keep Eden for the final year and he wasn't going to throw his toys out to force the move.

I must be the only one then, we had his best years, got the money and moved on. I want frank to mould this young team around them, not an ex Chelsea legend.

Seconded. There would be no way of knowing Hazard would still be at a very high level when his RM has run out. Plus, if the tactics would have to be arranged to suit his play, we may not have the right players, others may have to make way. Remember, as @Kev56 says, we have a very young team. There are no guarantees of course that they all develop as we hope they will, but to throw all that overboard to get a former great back, no thanks. After all, no guarantees from him either.

Jesus not a f**king chance. He was a great player and I love the guy, but he has no business being in our team again. The guy doesn't look after himself enough to have a career into his 30s.

We got so much out of Hazard, in every possible way...you could say.

But what's insane is that we just secured some key positions and built a team for the next 10 years for only 200m, it's really impressive.

 
I feel like she would eat me afterwards.
