Not surprised with Bonucci's poor performance. Hard to believe he's a defender at times.

Really happy for Torres, his assist was the highlight of the match for me.

Lamps & JT's guy love is being seriously rivaled by these two.

Gimme a break Gem. Read the preceding posts from Davey and Alan before you get so judgemental.

Jeez, you can't even post a bit of banter about you know who without someone getting arsey.

Thats what happens when you try to go head to head with Spain... Should have played deep and looked for a moment of brilliance from pirlo..

Too many buying into the pretty football is better than winning rubbish..

Torres and Mata scoring was awesome for us however as they should both be fired up for the start of the season.

Anyone fancy putting together their own top XI of the Euros? I'm trying to think of mine now, and since I'm not a fan of people that rely primarily on the last two teams standing, having trouble coming up with who was great in the group stages.

Off the top of my head, Casillas, Pirlo, Iniesta, Dzagoev, Modric, Kuba, Ronaldo, Khedira, Balotelli, Moutinho, Ozil would all be in contention. Having a lot harder time coming up with the defenders. The Italy game makes left a bad taste in my mouth for the German defenders. Remember Pepe being pretty solid though, and obviously JT was great as usual.

The kids clearly think Torres could do with some more hair accessories.

Ramos, Alba, Pepe, Bruno Alves, Lahm, Balzaretti. Just a few that come to mind.

Rui Patricio

Lahm - Pepe - Ramos - Alba

Moutinho - Pirlo - Khedira

Silva - Balotelli - Iniesta

That would be mine from what I can remember at this moment in time. Bit bias towards Patricio but I think he did really well. Torn between Ozil and Khedira, picked Khedira cause he stepped up and performed really well.

Buffon, Lahm, Mandzukic all worth mentioning as well.

well fair play to spain...I said they were in decline :face_palm: ...to be fair it now looks like they played in first gear for most of the tournament and then stepped it up for the final...tonight was the first time (don't count game against a poor ireland team), where they attacked and passed the ball with pace and purpose...Italy just had no answer and crucially the Spanish pressing game also meant they were the first team not to give pirlo time and space, therefore negating their threat almost completely...

for most of the tournament I thought there wasn't an outstanding team and anyone of four-five teams could win it...the final tonight just proved spain are still head and shoulders above the rest

I originally started out trying to do an actual XI, which is why I started with Casillas and forgot to put Buffon in there. Both had great tourneys.

Good shout on Mandzukic, had forgotten about him.

I guess I'm just so used to the constant ridicule of you know who that it's hard to tell when you intend it to be light banter.

I don't consider myself to be one of those Torres Taliban or whatever absurd nickname they have, I just think give the guy a flipping break. I may be wrong on this occasion as I've clearly misunderstood the context but I just do not understand the unrelenting mocking.

Still, it's your opinion and it's not your problem that I don't agree with it.

One more to add to the collection. Next, the olympics. After that, I can't wait to find out.

Won't be long before Spuds fans start to say Del Bosque will be their next Manager - some of them would genuinely think he would go to them. It wasn't that long ago they were putting Hazard and Higuain in their starting XI's for next season. Love them, such an entertaining bunch.

Any pictures with our two boys with the trophy would be much appreciated :)
