I must admit, when I saw England defending and hoofing the ball at the euros, the whole time I was thinking, we're the fourth best team in the world...even though they didn't even make it into the final four in europe, I just thought fifa would not let such a minor detail get in the way of promoting us from a lowly sixth to fourth...will soon be no.1 when we beat norway in a friendly

And then of course if say England were to go and Beat Uraguay, it would give them more points, moving them higher up the table, then if they beat Brazil or Argentina, so they just get higher & higher, making less and less sense.

Argentina is the one that shocks me the most along with Brazil.

Can't argue with 1 and 2 though, completely agree with that but it's not really hard to pick those two tbh.

Brazil haven't been playing as many competitive matches recently due to not having to qualify for 2014, so that depresses their ranking a little.

I still have no idea how they're seven spots behind England, mind.

uruguay are better than brazil.

No one takes any notice of those rankings anyway. The only time they even get a mention is when people are talking about how absurd they are.
