Oh Val I forgot to mention...4th Spot was because it was the first game of the round...

Queensland are now 7th. Of 8 teams. The worst team in Australia, considering the 8th team is New Zealand. Real shame because you used to play quality attacking football and after a bad injury run it all went excremental, whereas Sydney had the balls to shake of our bad run.

Queensland have a run of home games though so I think 9-10 points will see them in good stead for the season- but one more loss will almost certainly seal their fate.

 "It's just flesh". We'll pounce again later...
And so it goes on! sheesh!

You're just saying this to annoy me. I'm not biting

This is so much fun! But I'll stop now!

You two kids have fun

Kev

Kids... that's the nicest thing you have ever said to me

Aww come on Valerie - I've said some very nice things to you before!

Stop flirting with me, you know Mrs. Yorkleyblue doesn't approve.
I asked her and she says it's OK and is quite looking forward to us all meeting up

But my fling doesn't approve of you flirting with me, so a get-together will be just you and your missus. Enjoy!

It's that time of the week again...

We drew 0-0 with Central Coast. Poor game, really poor. The big one is on Friday, Melbourne vs Sydney and I'll be there. sweeeeet!

Queensland are now back in 4th with a 1-0 win over Perth Glory. Cracking strike by Queensland's Stevie Me, Matt McKay.

How dare you compare super Matt with

You don't see Roar supporters burn his shirt, do you?

Back in fourth, we're marching on

Got a Roar training top sent to me for my birthday - Guess I'm a Qld Roar fan then?

Ok, I'm back from Bleak City!

Hi all. Well, just Valerie.

Queensland are 7th. And languishing. Not long to go now, just one month of the season left, before they are crowned as Worst Team In Australia. Don't worry too much as that title belonged to Melbourne Victory who are now nearly minor premiers...

Melbourne game was great except for a) 15 year olds in the bay next to us- stick to myspace and FIFA on your XBOX. Squeaky voices singing really annoy the hell out of a person. :) Crowd trouble after the game.

And you are....... all but 18? ::):

PS Welcome back, I missed your updates

I missed this thread- the CSR wasn't working for me for a whole 2 weeks. I thought I was banned for winning the Ashes or something...

Hello all!

Sydney lost their last two games since I last updated, losing to both Adelaide and wooden-spooners New Zealand 1-0! The Adelaide game was good, but the NZ game was the second worst performance Sydney have ever put on.

We then DREW 1-1 with Queensland in arguably the attacking game of the season. Both teams seemed to click going forward and played a really fluid passing game instead of the scrappy games that they have been accustomed too.

Former Queensland hero Alex Brosque scored the opener for Sydney after a fantastic passing move from Sydney and dreadful slip/tackle by Roar defender Remo Buess. Queensland struck back just minutes later through Australian football's version of Teddy Sheringham, 36-year-old Damien Mori, scoring after a quick long-ball counter-attack. Queensland and Sydney then missed great chances to snatch the lead in a very attacking, entertaining game.

Sydney midfielder Ufuk Talay was sent off, and Queensland failed to capitalise. Most Australian football fans recognise this as the "Frank Farina effect", which leaves me in no doubt that the new Roar coach is leaving his mark on the team.

Anyway, Valerie, the result meant Queensland missed out on the finals on goal difference. To MY team.

Sorry.

Tonight is the first leg of the semi-final: Sydney FC vs Newcastle Jets.

I'm taking suggestions of what to drink beforehand- something that maximises the feeling of winning, but minimises the feeling of losing.
