I'm as keen as anyone to see a new striker come in, but without one lined up it'd be daft to cut us down to two. I'm a big Lukaku fan, and this season could be crucial for his development as a Chelsea player, and I'd like to see him eased into the side (possibly starting the season as a popular impact sub), rather than being given the full responsibility to lead the team from the off.

I don't think Ba's good enough to be first choice for Chelsea. Torres has shown nothing to suggest he is either (I'm not delusional) but they both offer something. Torres' movement creates space for the AM's. Ba's hold-up play offers us a direct route. I'd rather keep all three, unless of course we bring in another striker.

I wouldn't get rid of Torres unless we were sure we could replace him. Getting Rooney is far from being a sure thing, i don't fancy going into another season with only 2 strikers again.

It's a new regime, everyone that's at the club deserves a new slate and to be judged on merit of what they're doing now rather than what they have or haven't done in the past.

So should we Benayoun a chance? Unless Mourinho can somehow alter Torres and make him as physically fit as he was in his best Liverpool days then nothing is going to change.
