Who should be our 1st choice keeper?

Which one looks the best between the sticks? 

 
I've forgotten what he looked like now! You didn't mention Rob Greene who has a Europa medal!

 
Just going to say I sometimes don't realise Petrovic is playing.  On the other hand I know very much when Sanchez is playing and with a goalkeeper that's usually a bad thing.

 
Petrovic. Would be good if we go to penalties again against Liverpool in the final and he saves them all!

 
I thought the poll would be more 70-30 in petrovich favour but theres like 45 voted for petrovic and 1 vote for sanchez... Thats enough evidence to suggest petrovic should stay as number 1

who voted for Sanchez and why? 

 
Petrovic definitely for me. I can relax a lot more when the ball is played back to him. Seems to be able to play well weighted passes and more importantly know when to put his laces through it. 
Big few weeks coming up for him against better opposition but I think he will come through it well. 

 
Think the Poll is unfair really. Poor old Betts not even named and tossed aside as an "other " option...

I was looking at out last few buys... but totally get the point. totally loved Cudicini, great stopper.  🙂 the miserable Madrid keeper discounted for me despite him being very good. I suppose I should have asked, can Petrovic reach their standards? He is starting to make big saves and keep us in games. 

 
One thing I've noticed is that I've not felt any form of anxiety with Petrovic. Whereas Sanchez I just know one of his silly touches and passes is going to f**k us over eventually and game by game I'm expecting it to happen. He completely ruined the Arsenal game for us, but in his defence he's also had some very good games aswell. 

As of now, how can you bench Petrovic? He's been superb, he deserves to start until he doesn't.

Our defenders look a ,lot less twitchy with Petrovic in goal too, they seem much more comfortable passing him the ball and waiting to receive a pass etc.

 
Petrovic all day long. Looks like a piece of top scouting by the club for once.

Sanchez acted like a d**khead last time he was demoted to 2nd choice goalkeeper though so we may have another expensive problem with 7 years on his contract if Petrovic keeps it up.

It wasn't when he was dropped he kicked off.

It was when he returned to the team, played brilliantly for two of the biggest games in Brighton's history, yet got dropped again and still didn't get another chance after Steele let Everton score 15% of their season tally in 90 minutes.

So basically, if he comes back against Arsenal away and helps us to win, plays superbly in the FA Cup semi final yet still not only gets dropped but not brought back in after Petrovic ships 5 against Sheffield United then we may have a problem.

You think it’s a wind up for someone to assume a manager has selected premier league experience over MLS experience?

Id be shocked if this wasn’t a huge part of the decision? Let me just waltz into a new club, which is in turmoil and need of stability and decide to throw the currently 3rd/4th choice goalkeeper with no idea what it’s like to be a keeper in the prem into the starting 11 over someone who is widely regarded as a solid option and potentially hard done by being dropped by their previous club.

That's not what was said, but let's explore your point.

Ali Dia has Premier League experience. Lionel Messi has MLS experience. Which one would you choose to play for Chelsea?

Next point - this isn't Sunday league mate. You do realise that Premier League managers have access to all kind of analytics and footage to inform them of the ability of their players?

Further to that Poch would have seen both in training.

Presumably you, a layman, has managed to ascertain that Petrovic is the better keeper? With all the resources Poch has at hand you don't think he should have been able to come to the same conclusion?
