Blimey. This is another one I never knew about:

Also I didn't realise we'd had so many red away kits, going all the way back to the 1950's.

my first game....1967.68 season.....versus man city at the bridge......i was dragged along by my next door neighbour from holborn.....love at first sight......the aromas....the charged atmosphere....a wonderfull starter to my cfc life

That would have been great. Was Ibrox all seater then or were there still standing areas?
It was and it was a Friday night game, because both teams had been knocked out of respective national cup competitions,

in 1986 it was mostly all seated. 9,000 for standing in East and West Enclosure under Main Stand. Rest was 36,000 was all seated. Ibrox began being renovated summer 1978 - autumn 1981. It went from a 65,000 capacity to one of 44,000 or 45,000

Yeah, they were seated well before the Taylor Report because of their own disaster if memory serves correctly. Still with the support both teams had then it would have been a phenomenal atmosphere. Did we get a win?

No, think it was 3-2 Rangers ! (Will check) Both teams weren't 'flying' back then.

A case of, decide to go, turn up pay at gate and walk in 15mins before kick off.No probs getting a seat/place back then.

Think it was about half full.

Checked, it was 3-2 Rangers in Feb 86. We'd played them in May 85 at The Bridge for Bradford Stadium Disaster Appeal. Chelsea winning 3-2.

Chelsea vs Shrewsbury Town Nov 13th,(I think?)1982.

From seeing the spammers 'total football' destruction of Norwich the week before,to the 'total sh*t' effort from Chels a week later!.

And this was a 15th birthday present from the older (spammers supporting) bruv!.(to be fair,he never took the p*ss at the time).

Where the hell was Borota?,how the hell did Colin Lee ever score 4 goals for the spuds without getting his hair dirty?.

I think we took the lead, before they completly outplayed us for the rest of the game,& deserved their win.

Honestly,it was an eye opening experience,a view of the grim side of football, but I'll take it over anything the spammers could ever offer.

Chelsea 0 Sunderland 0 1979, first game of the season, dont remember much about the game but can still remember the feeling i got walking down the fulham road & the strong smell of horsesh*t & hamburgers. :blue scalf:

Chelsea 0 - 0 PSG, 2004. I was 9, went with my dad who is also a lifelong chelsea fan. Pretty boring game to be honest but i didnt care, i was on top of the world. I remeber going mental when Drogba scored, shame he was offside :sad:I can remeber to atmosphere being amazing, despite the lack of goals :laugh2:

Strangely I can't remember my first Chelsea game, but I know it was in the 2nd division about 81/82 with my neighbour and his dad

I do remember my first ever game, I went with my dad, who had got tickets off his mate for Spuds V Citeh I was only about 5 or 6 and even then I hated Spuds, everytime a Citeh player got the ball I cheered, much to the anger of all the Spuds fans sitting around us!

Omagh vs Chelsea 1999 I was 8 it was for the omagh bombing charity I have been a Chelsea fan from I was a baby as my dad and uncle where massive Chelsea fans it was a dream come true to watch Chelsea in the super sunny northern ireland only down side was why the game needed played but not go into that. Chelsea won 8-0

However I do remember being behind the goal ,on the grass with loads of other kids, when Peter Sillett scored the penalty past Bert Williams for a 1-0 win at Easter 1955.
What a baking hot day that was. I remember people passing out from heat exhaustion

My first game was against Norwich must have been about 1985 ish. Don't remember much about it except the characters in the Shed, I think we lost though so that set me up nicely!

My son's first game at the Bridge on Sunday, I can't wait. He's already said he'll be taking his dad and grandad for a beer before the game - at just turned 7 that's impressive going!

Mine was 2004 against Bolton, and Carlton Cole scored the only goal late on. Can't believe I did not purchase the Stamford the Lion stuffed animal that they were selling at the time, and I will go to my deathbed regretting that (they changed the design a year later to a more normal looking lion, which is OK, but the wally-eyed bugger of 2004 was so cute).

York City away 1976, the league game not the FA Cup game earlier in the same season. The match was a draw I think, 1-1 or 2-2.

Decent Chelsea boot boy following, pitch invasion at half-time. Aged 11, I was hooked.
