Your First Ever Chelsea Game...

Absolutely no idea but my mum says she took me to my first game when I was about 6 or 7 and that would make it mid 60's.I will never forget clambering up the concrete steps (they seemed huge) and looking down to see this beautiful green pitch in the middle of London.

I was hooked from the moment I went to SB. That coupled with being born in Chelsea helped.

First game I remember was a Wolves/ Newcastle game, maybe, god knows. In fact I am consistently impressed with how much some people remember. I can remember some games but they all seem to meld into one overall sense of excitement, passion and commitment.

I do remember going one season and not seeing us win until we played in the FA cup. I was sure it down to me until we carried on losing whether I was there or not.
1983 seemed that way to me - worst season ever, thankfully just a distant memory now.

27 December 2009 at home versus Fulham . I remember it like it was yesterday. I've seen them in the states before but this was my first time at the bridge(and England too).

Travelled down from Scotland for the friendly with Rangers to raise funds for the Bradford fire victims,if I remember correctly it was on a Thursday night with Chelsea winning 3-2.Always had a soft spot for Chelsea before that but ever since the Ive always tried to get to at least a couple of games a season.

Probably started supporting Chelsea from the 1967 final. Was definately getting blues stuff, annuals, scarves, dodgy knitted royal blue jumpers from aunties the following year for birthdays and christmas. I had no older relative who supported Chelsea and my old man wasn't into football at all so I must have nagged him rotten for him to take me to my first match. March 1971 against Huddersfield and probably the least glamorous home game of the season. I didn't care. Don't remember much of the game sitting in one of the rear rows of the old west stand, although it was only a few years old back then. This game was inbetween the two Bruges ECWC ties and we had Leeds the following week so there was no Osgood, Bonetti or Hudson, presumably rested. Finished 0-0 so my dad probably thought that might put me off wanting to return, Ha, just being at The Bridge was enough for me. Last memory of that day was standing outside a pub opposite the tube station (must have been The White Hart) with a bottle of orange and bag of crisps while dad sunk a few inside. ::clap2::

First game at the Bridge was Chelsea 1 v 0 Forest with Trevor Aylott scoring for us, possibly November time 1978(?) although i'd been to loads of away games.

I stood in the right side of the Shed and I will never forget that day if I live to be 150. I think Ray Wilkins had a scorching free kick goal disallowed too.

First home game of the 96-97 season against middlesbrough. I had only just turned 6 and was finally allowed to accompany my dad to the bridge. Can remember pretty much nothing from the day accept seeing ravenelli warming up before the game and di matteos celebration after the goal. THe final away game of that season at everton was my first away, we won 2-1 i vaguely remember di matteo scoring, the highlight of my day however which i can still remember clearly was a streaker running on the pitch and giving wisey a kiss. Good times

Strangely enough my first home game was against Burnley in 1966 and had the same score as Saturday. us winning 2-1 if memory serves. (although in reality is it is shot to sh*t, but I am sure that was the score)

Not much wrong with your memory, mind you a win was a rare thing in them days, something to treasure, not forget.http://theblues.chelseafc.com/cgi-bin/resu...h.pl?25-02-1967
We got to the FA Cup Final that season!

OK, we only finished 9th in the league in 1966/67, but that was partly due to Emlyn 'Superc*nt' Hughes breaking Ossie's leg in October, when Tommy Doc panicked and bought Tony 'great with his head, sh*te with his feet' Hateley as a replacement. The previous two years we'd finished 3rd and 5th, won the League Cup and got to the semi-final of the Fairs Cup.

It only really went downhill (briefly) the following season, with the Doc getting the bullet and Sexton taking over.

I thought I'd be one of the oldest posters on here and never expected to see so many 1st games being attended in the 60s. Mine was St Patricks day 1970, March 17th at home to Stoke, we won 1-0 through a Charlie Cooke goal. I was in the old East Stand and much like an earlier poster was fascinated by the Shed.

I didn't get to another game until I started to go regularly in December 71, Leeds at home 0-0, didn't have a clue which end was which and ended up in the North Stand and didn't make my Shed debut until the next home game against Spuds in the League Cup semi a week or so later.

I found the first match I ever attended on the chelsea.com databasehttp

The database is here if you want to try and find your first game that you attended (home and away).

I think it was 64/65 v Leeds I remember we won 2-0 sat in the old West Stand...my first ever trip to London, I made many trips after that favouring the Shed.....ah the good old days of Doc Martins, Ben Shermans, two tone trousers and a pork pie hat....a bit naff really but good at the time. Sadly now living in Canada I can only watch with envy from afar.....but at least I get to see every game by TV or internet.

Aug '87 was the first time I made it to Stamford Bridge for the first game of the season against Sheffield Wednesday.

Will always remember the cheer for Kerry Dixons goal, as we hadnt quite made it into the ground by then, and also the deafening roar for Pat Nevins penalty.

Loved it

I've broken in plenty of Chelsea virgins in my time

Have not managed to get to the bridge yet, im 18 and all but none of my friends are as interested as me in football, especially Chelsea.

God knows when I will make it there, dont really want to go on my own lol ::clap2::

My 1st game was on the 20/12/1980 at home to Orient,we lost 0-1 with Joe Mayo scoring the only goal, the game was on MOTD.

It was my mums friend that took me & we sat in the West Stand & my only memory is the shed singing

'going up'...still have the Prog & the scarf i bought that day.

My dad then took to me to a handfull of games & at the start of the 83-84 season

he bought us both memberships & we only missed 2 games.

Best wishes Jim.

My first game was at Ewood Park, with my uncle and cousin they game finished 1 - 1, 16th Nov 1996, we had my favourite kit on the orange and grey, so glad to have it back in my collection! dont remember too much of the game though, i remember it being cold and wet though,
