at the time these two games were the most awaited, i remember that they had a massive end and we were put on the left hand side, they always used to chuck stones over the fence. I think the first game was best as most of us had only heard of blackpool  and to make things even better the special arrived around 12h30, and there were plenty of boozers from blackpool north to the ground

I think we played them before that in the FA Cup i know we won 1 - 0  John Boyle scored

cant remember that game but i do remember a 4-3 a few years earlier when we were 3-0 down, not many went up there
