Bennehh got a reaction from Tommy26 in Van Ginkel to Chelsea
In my opinion, Van Ginkel is everything we need in the deeper section of midfield, one of our most vulnerable areas last season.
We're looking strong now, very strong. With Essien returning, Van Ginkel, Mikel, Lampard and Romeu will be fighting for a spot in CDM.

This also gives other players a chance to fulfill their potential in higher or deeper positions, such as Ramires. Playing him at CDM last season wasn't a bad call in my opinion because of his speed but I feel we were really missing a box to box attacking touch we had from him when he played on the right in the 11/12 season. Not to mention the few games where he did play on the right and was superb in the 12/13 season. But of course people will have different opinions on that.

Another player who can fulfill his potential in their best position is David Luiz, yeah, playing him in the holding midfield role worked a treat last season. But people seemed to forget how much of a brilliant centre back he was, we need his talents in defence if we're to really have a solid back line.

Not to mention on top of that, if we go ahead and sign De Rossi as rumors are saying we're set to, that would completely calm my nerves about the holding midfield role, as De Rossi seems to be a solid holding midfielder and would fit in so nicely with the team.
