Carney Chukwuemeka

We value Chuks for 40 and bought him for 20. If we get close to what we want we have just made good piece of business with him.

A pipe dream. Zero offers on the table. Club has priced him out of the market, and his true value is around £20m-£25m + add ons which is what Jaden Philogene has gone to Ipswich for. Jaden has 3yrs of solid minutes on the pitch, Chukwuemeka doesn’t have significant minutes on the pitch but is somehow double the price?

Cant wrap my head around the Strasbourg loan because he isn’t a need for them, what they need is an experienced CB as they have a 19 & 21yr old CB pairing. Disasi makes more sense IMO, and I would have sent Chuks to a Championship team at the end of summer window to go and get solid minutes.

In terms of Strasbourg not so sure what they want is a luxury they can afford. If Blueco says you need to go there you go there. 

Not an optimal destination if he is not needed there but it could happen. I am sure Liam Rosenior wants to have a path to Chelsea as well in the future.

 
I’m so glad he got loaned out, now he can rip it up in Bundesliga and come back as a new player.

It’s the only way he would ever make it here, unfortunately.

Why would he want to come back to this club. The only reason I can see is that he is imprisoned by his contract.

Why are we trying to be too clever here? How does that even work when his release clause is £40m. 
Like you said; even at £40m he will be their record signing ever, so can’t see them activating it.

Maatsen was their starting lb on route to cl final and they didn't sign him

 
I know Carney has had injury issues but I find it completely baffling how he has not been given any chances this season, especially in the recent poor run when we are struggling to score goals. He maybe inconsistent but no more than any of the others (bar Palmer).

Good luck to the lad - hope he does well and makes the decision makers look silly (again).

 
Not baffling at all. He's for profit only. They don't care about playing these young players, just stockpiling and selling them.
