Doubt he is a priority; the need a big signing at CF now Benzema can’t stay fit, a RW, a LB competition for Mendy, & need to replace Kroos. & they already have CBs on their books.

Gvardiol being left footed can probably cover at LB. Endryck being signed for CF for the year after too. CM they're sorted with their youngsters.

Gavardiol is good on the ball, likes to carry it, is adventurous, and likes to get forward even to the point of taking risks. In my view LB/LWB is the position to which his attributes are best suited. Given that I believe neither Ben nor Marc are the final answer on our left defensive flank, my wish is that we bring Gvardiol in and play him as our first choice LB/LWB.

He's commanded the back line for Croatia impressively his WC.

Being good on the ball as CB does not mean you can play lb let alone as lwb. 

 
Been outstanding again today. Him and the Croatian keeper would be great for us

I meant what I said. I believe that Gvardiol's attributes are well suited to playing LB/LWB. It's an opinion and it is either right or wrong. For now, what we know is that you are questioning my point of view. I have an opinion and you have a different one. That's all fair enough.

If we play him as defensive lb then it is fine because it is almost the same thing. 

However if we need our lb to be offensive or worse play him as lwb then it is whole another story.

The question change from can you bring the ball up and make safe passes to

Can you go up and down all day long? Can you be a threat in the box?Can you go one on one against defender? Can you be decisive?  

The skillset that is required is just vastly different.

Tbh I'm pretty relaxed about this one despite how much I rate him as I truly believe Colwill is a top level CB in waiting.

There's other areas of much more urgent need.
