Mancienne

We really should give him a proper chance. I really think this guy is gonna be a quality player in the future I dont get why Carlo doesnt seem to want him.

Played the entire game against Wigan as a defensive midfielder and did a marvelous job in that role. Wolves were reduced to ten men pretty early in the game with Henry being sent off. Mancienne continues to exhibit examplary interception and ball distribution that makes him look at home in the defensive mid role.

Yeah, I hope to see him at The Bridge next season. He was great last game!

I can see him being the Kalou of our midfield. Maybe not reaching what we see as their full potential, but capable of being a good sqaud player capable of some great appearances but not consistent ones.

I don't think he'll forge out a Chelsea career in all honesty (even if I want him too)...

I just get the feeling he'll end up being sold.

Mikel and Ramires will be the base of our midfield 3 in the future. Having seen Mancienne play for Wolves, he certainly has what it takes to be an able backup for those two. Whether he's willing to be a backup is a different matter.

Like i said, it depends on the role he's ready to accept. With the home grown rule, why would we want to get rid of a potentially very useful squad player. Ofc if the management doesn't rate him, he'll be on his way

I'd love us to have a Fletcher type player come through... not in terms of playing like him, but someone who comes through and is just willing to work hard and be a backup, who slowly improves into being a vital cog in the side. It very rarely happens these days, with all players expecting to play big parts and youngsters naturally being less patient, but it'd be great to see. Mancienne could be that player, or he could not, only time will tell that.

I think he'll stand out at the leve of Wigan and Wolves and will therefore be sold to a club such as those

Think he has the potential of being a very useful squad-player for us, because he's so versatile. Depends if he will accept not playing on a regular basis though.

I remember him playing right back for us and doing very well. England could use a decent right back so they can drop Glen Johnson.
Having seen him play for Wolves last season and a bit of this one I believe his best position is in the centre of the field. It could be in centre back or in a defensive midfield role but its in that position that he generally performs at his best.

Given our injury concerns there is a word going around that he may be called back in Jan to fill in. I'd love to see him and given his versatility it could be a good decision.

I too would like to see him back. I'm afraid that chances will be very hard to get for him if he doesn't. And then he will leave. It would be too bad because he must show something to be the captain of the U21 team.

Ive always thought he would end up either as a holding midfielder or right back, he simply isnt physical enough to play Centre half in this league.

We better get him back to chelsea to strengthen our midfield / defence . He looks good to be given a fair run in the chelsea first team !
