That is net though, so gross its probably like anywhere between £70-90kpw, which puts him in the same bracket as players we've purchased in January when you consider there is no European football. It probably shoots up to £120-150kpw when we qualify. 

 
So the latest on him, as per a few different sources like Record Portual:

1. Ugarte wants to play in the PL and will accept less wages than PSG have offered to join us.

2. He won't however accept significantly less, and qe have upped our offer from 2mill net a year to 3.5mill. PSGs offer is 5mill Net.

3. Talks going well with Sporting. They are happy with either offer just need fine details done.

 
It’s 43% more. If we all looked for a new job and one employer offered 43% more than another for the same work, well that’s pretty compelling. 

 
Looks like Ugartes came is waiting for our offer to go up more. If he wanted PSG with the offer they made you would think he would just say yes and see you later Chelsea.

 
Fair play to the club if they’ve managed to persuade him with PSG in competition. Pochettino also wanted him so it’s a major boost for him.

Yeah I reckon that is right. He clearly wants to come here and Pochettino clearly wants him.
