Next Coach?

[The Rising Sun]

have you checked trivago?

[JM7]

4 year deal apparently. They have moved quickly.

Right now, I can’t really think of anyone better to appoint.

[BordeauxBlue]

Best manager we've had in years.

Let's hope he gets us into shape and has a say in the recruitment that desperately needs to change.

[Roland The Bruin]

f**k it, were gonna win the lot next season. Im a glass half full kinda guy today

[The Rising Sun]

Best appointment so far I reckon.

AND it's annoyed Liverpool fans!

Let's hope THIS one works out.

He'll have to go if we don't !

Eghbali and the directors will still go in to the dressing room after games and still pull the same BS they have done for years.

[El regreso]

I guess that always the case, whatever the result today but they do need to score some good points with the fanbase

How the f**k did these clowns pull this off. They definitely had to eat a lot of humble pie as Alonso could have waited and have a pick of clubs this summer.

He probably got everything he wanted from a operational perspective to have this close so quickly.

[Clearlake Cartel]

Best available manager on the market.

Can’t for a second imagine someone with that pedigree would accept this absolute sh*tshow without guarantees being made beforehand.

With us missing out on Europe entirely now this is giving me serious Conte vibes ie we’ll be able to give the league a proper good go next year.

About the most positive I’ve felt since BlueCo infected this club.

[CFCCAN]

Only half the battle. Means nothing if they don’t change upstairs.

Or at the very least the way run things

[RMH]

if it’s true it’s a good piece of news. However, are we sure this is not to get us forget the FA Cup final loss and we’ll end up with Silva?

[19seventyone]

He has to be given time. It will be at least a year before he gets the squad he wants.

I expect big moves out and into the club this window.

Welcome to the club.

I literraly have no clue.. When I looked at the initial shortlist - Silva, Glassner, Iraola I was gonna puke.. maybe they learned but it's too early to say.

[The Rising Sun]

Great appointment

But he must be desperate for a job, how come no else is after him , not even Liverpool?? We must be the worst choice for any decent manager ?

Anyway, good luck to the guy,

Come on you BLUES!!

Optimism? Of any kind,on here!

[just]

First Benitez. Now Alonso. Eventually it will be Jamie Carragher.

@axman2526 will stamp that out very, very quickly.

[PhilH930]

Happy with this. He’s about as good as we can do. We’ve had a poor run, he had a difficult end at Madrid - maybe things come together at Chelsea.

I just hope the directors and owners sort themselves out also during this “period of self reflection”.

[Nibs]

Got to be happy with this.

Can only imagine Alonso watched the CWC Final win over PSG last season and then hasn't watched us since!
