Yeah, that was weird.

I heard that place has shut down now. Took a video in there too, must look for that.

What i remember most was all the dodgy looking pubs down the Paisley Road, most with no windows! All full of Rangers memorabilia, great stuff.
Closed down and re-opened again, not known as The Glaswegian anymore, now called The Waterfront, but still a big Rangers boozer only there is no stuff up on the walls anymore.

What happened to the giant of a man that run the Glaswegian, God he was ginormous

He's still kicking about, the Glasgow City Council hounded the fella for the cheek of running a Rangers themed boozer.

As for the game looking forward to it, the last game was a smashing day out with friends old and new and I'd imagine Chelsea won't be as careless again on the pitch.

As another poster said, Rangers at the Bridge would be tremendous, I had a smashing day out down there for the Chelsea - Celt~c game :laugh2:

Dont think the few Celtic that actually travelled enjoyed it, looking back at their forum, posts like "i'll never go to Stamford Bridge again it was terrifying" shows how bad it was for em, at the time we were the only English fans to actually stand against em, they took the pish everywhere they went up to then :mocking:

Will it be fairly easy to get tickets to this? Was looking for a weekend away around this time for my birthday, love going to Glasgow for food and drink etc so this would be an idea present for me.

Not sure all of Celtic feel that way .... loads of them up here talk like they got a result, a few of my mates travelled down to ensure they at least got a wee bit of a welcome :Connie_threaten:

Their full of sh*te mate, they reckon walking around Westminster singing songs is a result, they got smashed everywhere that night, funny how they can take 1,000s to the likes of Utd/QPR/Fulham to name a few yet only bought 2,000 to ours, they can blame ticket prices ect but facts are they have something like 45 supporters clubs in the south east alone so should have bought a lot more than they did.

We'll see how good they are if we ever met em in the CL, every man & his dog would turn out for em.

Well Ive managed to convince the wife to go to this game, were gonna go for a weekend and take the game in. Whats gonna be the easiest way to get tickets for this? I presume it wont be a sell out so should be able to get them somehow.

It sold out last time, so i wouldnt be so sure.

You looking to sit with the Chelsea fans ? If so i seem to recall they went on sale to ST and members about a fortnight before the game, but to be sure keep an eye on the website.

Your wife is a lucky lady!

Not really bothered where I sit to be honest, should be pretty friendly anywhere. Ive got a mate who goes to quite a few Rangers games so Im hoping he can get me some.

Excellent news. As you may have notice from my username I support both Chelsea and Rangers.

The last game at Ibrox was simply fantastic. One of the best friendlies I can remember. Hopefully the same again with the place bouncing again

How easy will it be to get Chelsea end tickets for this game and when will they become available ?

I'm absolutely gutted that I won't be able to make this. Spoke to my uncle in Glasgow last night who is a Rangers season ticket holder telling him that my son and me will be making every effort to go to this game, got off the phone and my wife informs me we may be away... :JC_doubledown: We have much family in Glasgow and this would have doubled up as a great opportunity WTF.

Had one of the best weekends of my life up there last time, best Friday night party city in Britain, I can't make this one as I'll be spending a fair bit going to Arnhem, but if you've not been miss out at your peril.

Wont be a problem wherever you sit, we were in the old wooden main stand surrounded by Gers, friendliest away game I've been to in 40 odd years.

Shouldn,t be a problem where you get a ticket in the ground.Every other gers fan i know supports chelsea as well. spoke to my mate last week he,s getting me a ticket. So i,m looking forward to this game big time. Get over to watch the gers a couple of times every season and can,t wait should be a good piss up. BOUNCY BOUNCY.

Really looking forward to this one. We have got tickets booked on easyjet from Bristol to Glasgow. Going up early Friday back Sunday. Last time in 07 was great. Best away friendly I have been on. Been back a few times since to renew friendships made that week-end. We were sorry to see the Glaswegian had closed as it was. There was a small bar under the railway bridge that was Rangers which also closed. That was where we met some Rangers fans who we have kept in touch with since. Will be good to catch up with them again.
