Agree on this and feel both he and Acheampong have been badly handled by Maresca this season. We don’t do enough to “platform” our talented youngsters. Look at Arteta with Nwaneri & Lewis-Skelly this season; he could have gone with Sterling & Zinchenko/Tierney when Saka & Calafiori went out injured. He has opted for the energy and youthful exuberance from the 18yr old pair, and stuck with them even when they have made mistakes. Arsenal won’t presently entertain a £50m bid for either.Disagree entirely.
I would keep him around. Especially for cup games, relegation teams in prem and mins in games we are comfortably ahead in.
Once he starts that championship loan cycle it's pretty much over, we can develop him in house especially when our wingers aren't very good.
I swear I've watched different games to some of the people here, I can't think of a performance from him that I've been impressed by and makes me think he has a long term future here.Makes you wonder why we dropped 50 million on Quenda when George is coming through.
Well done on a quietly impressive breakthrough season.
Agree 100% with this, doesn’t even look ready for a Championship loan as of yet. I think some of it is down to the fetish some people have for moaning about what Billionaires choose to spend their money on and the other part is an obsession for Cobham to produce someone even semi decent.I swear I've watched different games to some of the people here, I can't think of a performance from him that I've been impressed by and makes me think he has a long term future here.
That's a bit too far. Quenda is one of the best young wingers in the world. George, while I rate him, is not even close to CHO at the same age.Makes you wonder why we dropped 50 million on Quenda when George is coming through.

Yep. We just ship them out on loan and hope for the best. At some point you have to develop them in house even if it is just sub appearances.Agree on this and feel both he and Acheampong have been badly handled by Maresca this season. Played well v Southampton in limited mins, was fine both legs v Coppenghen and v Legia yesterday he did well second half playing out of position as a striker/false 9.I swear I've watched different games to some of the people here, I can't think of a performance from him that I've been impressed by and makes me think he has a long term future here.
To add to that; came on as a sub in the 3-0 loss v Brighton and probably one of our best players, Neto & Sancho were both awful, was benched next game in the 2-1 loss v Villa. Had an assist v Southampton, and another v København. Momentum is everything with young players.Played well v Southampton in limited mins, was fine both legs v Coppenghen and v Legia yesterday he did well second half playing out of position as a striker/false 9.
He still has some way to go in terms of development but in this current Chelsea team he can certainly have a future here.
Never heard of him before we signed him for 50 million... if he's worth that then what is George worth to the board? will probably be sold to pay for the new arrival next season to balance the books unless they sell the east stand to themselves...That's a bit too far. Theyre not spending their money mate...Agree 100% with this, doesn’t even look ready for a Championship loan as of yet. His biggest asset currently is that he is a body double for Bukayo Saka so some defenders might give him the benefit of the doubt before they realise.
Yup.That's a bit too far. Quenda is one of the best young wingers in the world. George, while I rate him, is not even close to CHO at the same age.
