Dont want to say Torres or Luiz are going to flop but why did we not sign any creative winger/midfielder in the transfer window ?

Wasnt it obious that we desperatly need someone creative either in midfield or on the wing? Especially for games like the one yesterday, where we play against an opponent thats just trying to get a draw. When we signed Torres I expressed my doubt about where to play him and yesterday has totally confirmed that doubt. Diamond without someone that can play at the top of it or a 4-3-3 without wingers is what Carlo is going to try now and both are totally wrong balance wise in my opinion. Torres is a great striker and will help us but we need to look whos going to support him and Drogba aswell. Wouldnt it be much better to have Drogba or Torres + 2 wingers / creative attacking midfielders to feed them instead of playing both of them upfront ?

I suppose time will tell but the experiment did not work yesterday. I had hoped the purchase of Torres would give the under-performing forwards and midfielders a kick up the backside but it did not happen. We seemed to change too much to accomodate just one player. Frank never liked playing in a Diamond and he was pushed further back as Nic was in this position. We desperately needed width yesterday but there was not outlet for it. What has happended to Zhirkof? Incidentally, was they your new German flag in the Shed Upper yesterday?
