Chelsea soccer schools at Cobham

Featured Replies

Anyone got experience of these? I've got a 3 and 5 year old and was gonna put them on one next summer probably, can anyone give a little insight into how they found it? Did your kid have a good experience, get to meet the players etc?

Cheers.

no clue about Chelsea ones but I can try and help with my experience of soccer school's in general? I doubt they'd greatly differ

I've coached at numerous Arsenal ones and if it's anything like them I'd fully recommend it, really fun for the kids which is of course the main thing, but they're really well-organised, and in my time working them (about a year) there was only 1 coach I saw who I'd say was poor

As it's representing a pro club you'd expect the standard and the coaches to be good and not just like any old soccer school. I had one boy in one of my groups who was with us on the Monday (because he couldn't find the one he was meant to attend in the area, his dad paid last minute for ours), and his intended soccer school on the Tuesday; according to the dad the standard was wayyy better with us, and the little one enjoyed himself more too so they sorted it so he could come back to my group for the rest of the week.

Also bumped into the dad of one of the kids I'd coached after the FA Cup semi at Wembley last season (Spurs fan  ) and he said his kid had kept attending every holiday and absolutely loved them.

I know at Arsenal that 3 would be too young, they start from 6 there (although I had a bunch of 5 y/o's, some mums told me they just lied on the form lol)

Also not sure about players, being at Cobham you'd assume there was more chance than anywhere else, I know my boy's little cousin met Ballack at one a few years ago, but this seems pretty sporadic; it's rare but like I said, at Cobham you could get lucky!

Hope this helps? If there's any specific questions I could try my best to answer from experiences elsewhere?
