Have been reading that his trust with the players was lost a long time ago. It is all hearsay and has to be taken with a grain of salt but if you cast your mind back to the 2013/2014 Sunderland defeat at home we saw an extraordinary response from him.

 

Maybe JM's loyalty to this man let him down in this instance. What do you think?
