Trying to get to a home game

Hello there this is my first post,  and I'm new to the forums,  been a Chelsea fan all my life,  however I've never been to a home game because of my location and finance,  however now that I'm earning and I live closer than I did before (West midlands) I'm going to try and get to Stamford Bridge at some point this season,  but because I've never traveled that far and not 100% how to get there I was wondering if anyone could guide me in the right direction regarding travel such as train or coach,  which brings me on to my second point the tickets,  I know they are quite hard to come by so would it be recommended that I get a membership,  again I apologise if this is long winded or in the wrong section,  I just thought this forum would help me
