ESPN's feed of the first leg match against Valencia had a few very interesting camera angles -- especially a few close ups of Jose's famed "dossier" that he was analyzing and marking up in the middle of the game. sorry if this was already discussed or widely seen by the global audience.

2nd half, CFC enjoying possession and knocking it around the back. camera switches to a shot of Jose on the bench writing in a binder he had unfolded on his lap. switch to a camera angle peering down in over his shoulder, and there is a close up that showed the page he was marking up. it was a drawing of the pitch and titled Defensive Set Pieces, or something like that. Jose was writing on a transparency covering the page with a black marker, writing "10" over one of the players and then "10/26" over another. he then flipped the page.

the second page was even more interesting. it also was a diagram of the pitch entitled Defensive Set Pieces, or something like that, but there was some written instructions already on the page. looked sort of like a printed out Power Point presentation. The three bullet points said:

  • * Win 3 Metres

* Jump

* 2nd Chances/Rebounds

i guess nothing magical there, the same advice my youth soccer coach gave me when i was 9 years old. try to advance as many yards up as you can when positioning the wall, jump when the ball is struck, and be mindful of the rebound. i'm surprised he didn't include a bullet point saying, "Cover Your Scrotum."
