Greenock Morton v Chelsea 1968

Hi Chelsea Fans. I developed a fondness for Chelsea when we played them in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup. I loved the players - Peter Osgood, Alan Birchenall, Bobby Tambling, Eddie McCreadie, Peter Bonetti and Charlie Cooke from Greenock. I also loved the all blue strip. I have a question though that I haven’t been able to have answered on social media. Chelsea had a unique strip then, it had normal shorts and socks but an incredible velvet top. Does anyone have any recollection of it as I tell people and I can’t prove it as it seems to have been airbrushed out of history! My brother and I clearly remember seeing a picture of Eddie McCreadie wearing that top. I realise it was probably very impractical to play football with it on, so perhaps it was only used for photo shoots as Chelsea were a big part of the swinging sixties!
