glory55
To the CSR Crew.........Can you help?? Im thinking about getting Setanta Sports through my Freeview box. I dont want Sky as I go to most of Our games home and away........ and on top of that..... ... the building I live in does not permitt me to put up a Sky dish, the W**kers! Does anyone currently have it?? Does it have signal black-spot?? As I miss out on a couple of Channels currently on the freeview box,cos of where my place is. Or have you heard any sort of good/bad word of mouth on it?? Its fairly cheap (?9.99) but has less games than sky with none of the so called 'MASSIVE' games. My Freeview box has a 'Top Up Tv' slot do I need to be a 'Top Up' customer to recieve Setanta?? Thanks! Robbo.
Jane
Rob, I'm not entirely sure, but I do think you have to be a Top Up TV customer to receive Setanta, which I cannot recommend. It costs ?9.99 per month and the programmes you receive are drivel. Never the premium programmes from the channels they have access to, generally the real dross that is on these channels. I had it for a while and had to cancel it, mostly on principal. It's a rip off. But I do think it's the only way you can get the Setanta channel, which makes that double the price they are offering. Of course I may be totally wrong. I cannot comment on the Setanta offering. I think you get a number of Premiership games per season, but I'm not sure which ones they are. If you do ahve to have Top Up TV I definitely wouldn't bother. Read this article for further info. on Top Up TV, it makes it sound quite positive but it really isn't and it looks like it isn't as simple anymore as just putting the card in and going from there, it looks like you also have to buy their specific PVR, for only ?120, plus ?9.99 per month. http://www.frequencycast.co.uk/topuptvanytime.html
