Last Monday when playing pool there was a manu fan in our side who was REALLY going on and on and on. I got so fed up, I said, right, ?50 a point on whoever comes highest next season. To be honest I didn't expect him to accept, but he said ok. He is an area manager for a bookmakers so knows that he has slightly better odds than me on this bet. To my shame, I backtracked slightly, and said I would only have ?20 a point (as I already have ?800 on us to win the league).

Anyway, we were playing county pool yesterday, and he was a little bit quieter after manure drawing to reading. So I asked him whether he still wanted the ?50 a point, and he said yes.

So, now I have a really hefty bet running for the season, and every point won or lost by either side is ?50 !! (but at least I have a ?100 start. icon_cool.gif
